What do you think of when you hear the name "PowerSolo"? 'Round Denmark way, the moniker apparently conjures the trash-rock psychobilly legacy of Hasil Adkins, the Cramps, and Southern Culture on the Skids. Powersolo may be a power trio, but in this case, the prog-metal acrobatics of rush are replaced with something they call "donkey punk." External Menace formed in the Coatbridge suburb of Glasgow in 1979 when John Sneddon, then 15, and 13 year old Wullie Hamill's band 'The L-Plates' were joined by 12 year old bassist Sandy Halkett and Rab Bell (14) on drums, the line up which recorded the 1979 demo which later got them signed to Beat the System records. After a brief split, during which Sneddy recorded a double A-side with The Snap Ons, Sneddy rejoined Wullie and Sanz with Derek Paterson taking over on drums, the bands name became External Menace, they signed to Beat the System in 1982 and released the 'Youth of Today' EP.

Bombshell Rocks are a punk band from Sweden signed to the country's biggest punk label, Burning Heart. The band has existed, with changing line-ups, since 1996. Before playing under this name, the group was called Down and Out. They did not waste much time and in early 1996 they came up with their first output Who's the Real Bastard, a mini album with six tracks on it and in 1997 with an EP called Going Up Going Down which were both released on their own label Noiseline. 1998 Sidekicks Records signed them and in 1999 it was time for Bombshell Rocks debut album Street Art Gallery.
