Close Lobsters were a Scottish indie pop band. According to legend, the band's name was derived from their inability to decide between two prospective names: The Close and The Lobsters. First coming to prominence with the track "Firestation Towers" on the NME's famed C86 compilation, they signed to Fire Records and released their debut single "Going To Heaven To See If It Rains" in October 1986. Dougie MacLean
Dougie MacLean is one of Scotland's finest singers and songwriters, with a rich, heavily-accented voice. He is a multi-instrumentalist (harp, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, didgeridoo, guitar) with a large back catalogue. His first release was in 1983 with the album "Craigie Dhu", although he had already recorded other albums, such as "Snaigow" and "Fiddle", which were not released till much later. He began his career playing with the Tannahill Weavers.

Ex Mouse Eat Mouse founder Johnny White formed Spy Movie in 2008. Having completed touring and promoting Mouse Eat Mouse's critically acclaimed debut album Mair Licht, he decided to leave and return to his indie pop roots. Kat King and David Mitchell, who've played with various bands in Glasgow, joined and began writing furiously.
The Suzukis
The Suzukis are a UK rock band based in Wigan. Band members are Chris Veasey (vocals), Adam Bamford (guitar), Robert Warnes (bass) and Stuart Robinson (drums). They started touring in 2005 and signed to the Sony/Columbia "indie" label imprint Deltasonic (home of The Zutons, The Coral and The Dead 60's amongst others). Following support slots with various labelmates and most notably, The Fall in January 2006, the band virtually fell off the radar but released their debut Reducer 4-track EP in July 2007.
Lean Tales
Lean Tales are an indie pop band from Glasgow. They formed during the winter of 2007. They are Imogen (vocals,assorted cheapo instruments), Chris (guitars), Erika (bass) and Craig (drums).

Foxface
Foxface, from Glasgow, Scotland, were concieved by Michael Angus. Initially he played alone, though was joined by friends along the way. The release of the handmade 'Foxface EP' (featuring Andrew Smith of Laeto) in 2003 was the last release without a permanent line-up; by early 2004 Foxface was a three-piece made-up of Micheal, John (Who played with Michael Angus in Peeps Into Fairyland), and new addition Jenny. They have played with Sons & Daughters, King Creosote, Electric Magnolia Company, My Latest Novel and Idlewild, with whom they share a friendship both personal and professional.
Erstlaub
Erstlaub is the creation of Dave Fyans of Perth, Scotland. Dealing in brooding drones and dense atmospheric soundscapes.
