Die Laughing

UPDATE: Die Laughing reformed in 2012 to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. On the 8th May it was announced that Die Laughing would be touring with The March Violets on a selection of key UK dates in June 2012, before beginning work on a new album. More information:

History Die Laughing are mainly remembered for their input to the 90s Goth scene but their roots go much further back into the 1980s.

Gary Le Strange

Gary Le Strange is the alter ego of Waen Shepherd (b. England 1971), a British actor and comedian. Waen is a versatile character comedian, native of Yorkshire, inhabitant of London. Following his days as a stand-up poet and fringe actor ("Supple-limbed… expressive … effortless" What's On), Waen started out performing bizarre experimental monologues at the early Club Zarathustra, touring with spoof techno band and Edinburgh sell-out The Pod ("The future of techno comedy" Guardian; "The musical comedy event of the festival" NME)...

Kafka

Kafka is also a jazz/folk/world music band from Brisbane, Australia. Kafka are a four-member Italian hardcore band formed in 1994 and disbanded in May 2006. They appeared on a lot of compilations, released four LPs and made some splits and 7". Kafka (카프카) is also a Korean trip hop band that released a self titled debut album on SoulShop in 2004. Kafka is also a Portugese Post-Punk experimental band with some passing similarities Death In June.

Subway Sect

Subway Sect were one of the original british punk bands.
The core of the band was singer/songwriter, Vic Godard, plus assorted soul fans, who congregated around early gigs by the Sex Pistols until Malcolm McLaren suggested they formed their own band. Subway Sect were among the performers at the 100 Club Punk Festival on Monday, September 21, 1976 - sharing the bill with Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Clash and the Sex Pistols. The first lineup of Godard on vocals, Paul Packham on drums, Paul Myers on bass and Rob Symmons on guitar lasted for 4 gigs before Mark Laff replaced Packham.

23 Skidoo

23 Skidoo cross , , , , and elements. The band had interests in martial arts, and drumming, Fela Kuti, The Last Poets, William S. Burroughs, as well as the emerging confluence of industrial music, and funk. 23 Skidoo was formed in North London, UK in 1979 as a post-punk trio. By 1980 they had grown into a quartet consisting of Fritz Catlin, Johnny Turnbull, Sam Mills and Patrick Griffiths.

killjoys from melbourne australia are beautiful melodic indie pop band with brilliant girl vocalist....(page listed under ...killjoys the...) not to be confused with defunct canadian band with similar name... they are more power pop with all boys... or with the UK punk band, featuring Kevin Rowland (later of Dexys Midnight Runners)
