The Downliners Sect

The Downliners Sect was a British rhythm and blues band of the beat boom era, formed in 1963 when the existing Downliners band split up. Stylistically, they were similar to The Yardbirds, The Pretty Things and the Rolling Stones, playing basic R & B on their first album "The Sect". They subsequently modified their musical style, and after an EP of 'sick' songs (eg 'I want my Baby Back') they experimented with both country ("The Country Sect") and rock ("Rock Sect's In").

The Priscillas

Jenny Drag (singing), Guri Go-Go (axe), Kate Kannibal (the bass), Hege Hotpants (the drums) have released two singles (Gonna Rip Up Your Photograph/Brain Surgeon and All My Friends Are Zombies) and one mini album on CD (Aloha From Holloway) on Damaged Goods (Holly Golightly, The Headcoatees, The Manic Street Preachers, The Buzzcocks, and Billy Childish). The two sell-out singles were played on Radio 1, BBC 6Music, Xfm, and WFMU.

King Khan & The Shrines

Who is this maniac Master of Ceremonies who openly confesses to the two grand black bohemians said to be lunatic Sun Ra and George Clinton, and whose stagings certainly remind us of a young Herman Sonny Blount and his Solar Arkestra? In 1995 Khan leaves the frosty soil of the city of Montreal playing the bass for the International-Underground-Legends The Spaceshits. The band is produced by Mike Mariconda with a special guest appearance from the Fabulous Andy G (devil dogs). Khan founds the secret lodge of the KUKAMONGAS.

WE THE PEOPLE

There is more than one artist with this name. 1) We The People were a mid 1960s garage group from Florida, releasing several singles (compiled on a double CD by the Sundazed label) and composing the track "In The Past", later covered by the Chocolate Watch Band. Guitarist/Songwriter Tom Talton went on to play with the Allman Brothers in the 1970's. 2) We the People formed in the winter/spring of 2003 in Syracuse, New York.

Hidden Charms

There have been more than one band called Hidden Charms: 1 - A Swedish power pop band of the 1980's, who released at least one album, "Volume" in 1986. 2 - The Hidden Charms is a three-piece garage punk band from Muenster, Germany. Their first LP "The Square Root
of Love" was releaed on Alien Snatch in 2006.

T-99 (Amsterdam/The Netherlands) has proven to belong to the top of the alternative European roots scene of today. With their eclectic mix of rock 'n' roll, blues, country, surf, punk together with a touch of eastern European and north African influences, they tour all over Europe since 1999. The Resonars

The Resonars is Matt Rendon, out of Arizona. While The Resonars is a contemporary band, the style and recording of their music is uncannily reminiscent of the early to mid 60's, blending psychedelic pop and garage with harmonies worthy of the Beach Boys.
