The Society Islands

The Society Islands is the musical project of Cologne, Germany-based composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Boris Rogowski. The Society Islands were founded in 2006, shortly before the release of their debut album "Kiss & Tell" (until then Rogowski had already recorded a dozen of albums and EPs under the moniker M.D. which may or may not be released at a later point in time). The music of The Society Islands oscillates between Neo-Folk, chamber music and Indie Rock and is further characterized by stylistic shifts and ominous undertones.

The Kill Devil Hills are a 6 piece country, swampy blues band from Perth, Western Australia. Their 2004 release Heathen Songs was followed in 2006 by The Drought, an album which has been widely praised by local reviews. Neil Young & Crazy Horse

Canadian singer and songwriter Neil Young includes his personal garage band Crazy Horse ("second best backing band in the world") to make raw and unpolished rock. Their gritty style of rock has influenced countless artists and music styles. Crazy Horse is best known for its long association with Young, despite having released five albums of its own over a 19-year span. It has been co-credited with Young as Neil Young and Crazy Horse on 13 albums, "Live at the Fillmore East" from the 1970 tour (2006) being the last.

Chatham County Line

Chatham County Line are an American bluegrass musical group. Formed in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1999 from the ashes of the defunct Stillhouse, the band have released four albums, one on the Bonfire label and three on the Yep Roc label (who they were linked with by the producer Chris Stamey), and have become popular in Europe as well as their native USA. Their most recent tour took in numerous European destinations, including the Lowlands rock festival in the Netherlands.

Dale Watson

Dale Watson (b. 1962) is a country singer, guitarist and songwriter based in Austin, Texas. The singer is also featured in the Zalman King documentary Crazy Again, chronicling his mental breakdown after his girlfriend Terri Herbert died in a fatal car accident in September 2000. He is expected to star in King's next film, Austin Angel, due out in 2007.

Mr Bones And The Dreamers

Mr Bones and The Dreamers are a bookish band with twelve legs between them; apportioned two per member. They play indie folk-music that was described by sax playing ex-president Bill Clinton as ' the sound of Dolly Parton singing Joy Division songs, alone and drunk in her Dollywood mansion after an expansive session on the gin'. The Hackensaw Boys

The Hackensaw Boys first began playing their joyful blend of old-time and bluegrass-tinged string-band music on the streets of Charlottesville, Virginia in the autumn of 1999. Far from limiting themselves to the old-time canon, however, the Hackensaws have been first and foremost a band of songwriters.
