Dmitry Sitkovetsky

Dmitry Sitkovetsk was born in Baku, Azerbaijan to violinist Julian Sitkovetsky and pianist Bella Davidovich. His father died in 1958, when Sitkovetsky was three years old. He grew up in Moscow. He studied there at the Moscow Conservatory. In 1977, aged twenty-two, he decided he wanted to leave the Soviet Union. To that end, he registered himself as mentally ill. His plan worked and he arrived at New York on September 11, 1977. He immediately entered the Juilliard School.

Matthias Pintscher

Matthias Pintscher (b. January 29th, 1971, Marl) is a German composer and conductor. Pintscher began his music studies with Giselher Klebe in 1988 at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold; in 1990 he met Hans Werner Henze and in 1991 and 1992 he was invited to Henze's summer school in Montepulciano, Italy. Later, he studied with Manfred Trojahn. Several of his orchestral and vocal works have been performed at such venues as the Carnegie Hall and Royal Albert Hall. Some of his more notable compositions include Choc (1996) and Janusgesicht (2001).

Iancu Dumitrescu (born July 15, 1944 in Sibiu, Romania) is a Romanian avant-garde composer. Dumitrescu received a master's degree in composition in Bucharest; Alfred Mendelsohn was among his teachers. Later, he studied conducting and philosophy with Sergiu Celibidache; Celibidache led Dumitrescu to an engagement with the philosophy of Edmund Husserl and an effort to apply the principles of phenomenology to music.

Luca Turilli's Rhapsody

Luca Turilli's Rhapsody is the name of the new band of the Italian composer Luca Turilli due to the friendly split between Luca Turilli and Alex Starpoli (main composers of the bands Rhapsody and Rhapsody of Fire). The addition of Luca's name before Rhapsody is due to the same legal reasons of the past not allowing him to use the word Rhapsody alone. The first album Ascending To Infinity would be released in late june 2012. Discography:

Benjamin Britten

Edward Benjamin Britten, Baron Britten of Aldeburgh, OM (22 November 1913–4 December 1976) was a British composer, conductor, and pianist. Life: Britten was born in Lowestoft in Suffolk, the son of a dentist and a talented amateur musician. He began composing prolifically as a child, and in 1927 began private lessons with Frank Bridge. He also studied, less happily, at the Royal College of Music under John Ireland and with some input from Ralph Vaughan Williams.

The British violinist, Daniel Hope, is renowned the world over for his musical versatility and creativity. In January 2007 he signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon, with whom he will now record a variety of projects. In 2004 Hope won three major awards for his recording of Berg and Britten Concerti - the Classical Brit Awards in England, and in Germany the Deutsche Schallplattenpreis and the ECHO Klassik Prize.
