Leng Tch'e

Leng Tch'e aka death by a thousand cuts, is an ancient Chinese torture ritual where the victim is being doped up and cut into bits. The victim doesn't feel any of this procedure until it is far too late and death is unavoidable. Leng Tch'e the band formed in early 2001, basing their own hybrid of grindcore on bands such as Regurgitate, Hemdale, Nasum and Blood Duster and mixing it all up with some stoner / rock / hardcore influences, the band baptized their own unique style, now known as 'razorgrind'.

There are at least two artists who use this name:
1. A metal band from Louisville, Kentucky
2. A pop punk band from Providence, Rhode Island 1. First conceived in the summer of 2007 by veterans of many of their city's more noteworthy and distinguished bands of recent years, Louisville, Kentucky's TROPHY WIVES has, in an incredibly short timespan, established themselves as a veritable force to be reckoned with in their own right, on their own terms.

Plain White T's

Plain White T's are a pop-punk band formed in 1997 in Illinois, United States. They are best known for "Hey There Delilah", an acoustic song performed solely by singer Tom Higgenson originally released in 2005 and later hit #1 in the US in 2007. For over a decade, Plain White T's have been playing to packed audiences craving for that perfect pop-punk punch. Their journey, which began in a small suburban basement playing covers, has taken the band to Warped Tour three times, and landed them opening slots for bands like Jimmy Eat World and AFI.

Bloodclot Faggots

DEAD. Adelaide's only true vegan straight edge band, Bloodclot Faggots will also be the city's most hated. They sound like Franz Ferdinand meets Void. They recorded a demo tape that sounds like it was recorded in a trash can, a cassingle cover of "Hey Joe" and a self-titled surf-rock 7".

Joan Jett & The Blackhearts

Former The Runaway's guitarist Joan Jett began forming the Blackhearts, a backing band for her burgeoning solo career, with manager Kenny Laguna's assistance circa 1979. Since then the roster has included the current lineup of Thommy Price on drums, guitarist Dougie Needles and bassist Enzo Penizzotto and numerous predecessors like Gary Ryan, Eric Ambel, Danny Furious, Lee Crystal and Kasim Sulton.

Machines

There are more than one band named Machines. The first, formed around December 2006, and are a rock 'n' roll-influenced hardcore punk band featuring members of RX Bandits, No Motiv and The Warriors. While so far only an unsigned side-project with no releases to their name, demos have been released through their website for download. The second formed in 1977 by guitarist Nick Paul they played The Roxy and Vortex in the twilight of those venues popularity and even blew The Damned off stage one gig at the City Of London Polytechnic.

Concrete Blonde

Concrete Blonde is an alternative rock band dating from the early 1980s to the early 1990s (and re-formed again in the 2000s). They are best known for the poignant songwriting and vocals of Johnette Napolitano. Singer / songwriter / bassist Napolitano formed the band Dream 6 with guitarist James Mankey in Los Angeles in 1982, releasing an eponymous EP in France on the Happy Hermit label in 1983. When they signed with IRS in 1986, labelmate Michael Stipe suggested the name Concrete Blonde, describing the contrast between their hard rock music and introspective lyrics.
