H.D.Q.

HDQ have been around for a few years now and in that time have developed into one of the UK's finest live bands as well as recording some killer tunes. Not surprisingly they have been criminally ignored by the "Music Press". Anyway thanks to Golly for answering the questions so enthusiasticaly. I suggest you see this band and buy the LP Sinking. Right, here goes! BTN: HDQ take a lot of inspiration from American hardcore, what would you say if I called you the English equivilant of Dag Nasty?

For Today

From Sioux City, Iowa, a beast whose ferocity and aggression is rivaled only by its poise and focus. For two years For Today have clawed and scraped their way into the spotlight. Seldom is there to be found a band whose passion and integrity are matched by their technicality and musical merit. As forthcoming about their faith as they are about their musical prowess, vocalist Mattie Montgomery sums up the band’s mission: "This has nothing to do with music and everything to do with our faith in Christ.

Based in Llantwit Major, South Wales, and formed in 2005, A New Day have gigged the length and breadth of the UK touring and sharing the stage with many of their favourite bands, such as A Wilhelm Scream, The Casualties, Failsafe, and The Disappointments. Playing a mix of melodic hardcore/punk rock, the hard edged energetic pace of their songs evolved over many years as they experienced events together on the road and they feel that their debut EP "Perfect Passion" sums up this attitude to their music.

Auburn

"Auburn," as you will quickly notice, refers to more than one band. First is an R&B/pop singer who sings "La La La." Most other tracks are from a southern metalcore band of the same name. When she was 13, Auburn began performing with a local all-girl group called Loyal and she continued to work on her songwriting, posting tracks on her MySpace page growing her fanbase the grass-roots way.
