Members Kool Keith, Ced Gee, TR Love and Moe Love released their debut album Critical Beatdown, produced by Paul C., in 1988 and inspired the world of hip hop with their original sound of unorthodox sampling, polysyllabic rhymes, and bizarre lyrical imagery. Kool Keith went on to work with many other groups and solo projects including The Cenobites, Dr Octagon, Masters Of Illusion and Dr. Dooom Their work has been often sampled, most notably in The Prodigy song "Smack My Bitch Up"

Advisory is a metalcore band from Frankfurt, Germany. Founded in 2000, the band played some gigs and also recorded songs, but after a while this project has taken a back seat. In 2007, the founder members reactivated the band with new musicians, who fit perfectly in the style of music Advisory is producing. They are mixing elements of metal and hardcore, while setting a high value on creating atmosphere with melodies. Also the "groove" and moshparts play an important role in Advisory's songs.

Using classical production techniques alongside influences in post-dubstep, indie, underground and garage, there is an emptiness of space integral to the minimalism of the work. 'With artifice devalued; pure, raw emotion is characteristic'. ''Uncovering a bareness is key to this instinctive mode of music making. Every song is a failed attempt to remember. The lyrics, are usually written minutes before recording, the titles to each song seem irrelevant, I use whichever word repeats itself the most.''
