Heels Catch Fire came about in the latter part of 2006 through an organic process of mutual friends and shared vision. Each member carrying an assortment of influences ranging from the pop perfection of the Shins, the intensity of Bjork to the Guitar wanderings of the Police and the Energy and power of At the Drive-in. They developed a furious and uncompromising mix of dual guitars, steeping bass riffs and staccato drum patterns which have led to a carefully-weighted mixture of pop awareness – straight-up choruses – hidden among the incongruous surroundings of spiky guitar-driven...

A collaboration between Gavin Harrison, an elite among the modern drumming scene and 05Ric a highly creative extended range bass player and singer. 'Drop' is the first fruit of Gavin Harrison & 05rics collaboration, and features contributions from progressive rock icons Robert Fripp (King Crimson)and Dave Stewart and session musician Gary Sanctuary. Nine carefully crafted songs combined with ground-breaking multi-layered guitars, vocal harmonies and rhythms.

Deathline

Deathline is a duo from London, UK. Members Jennie (bass guitar, vocals) and Kaoru (guitar, vocals and programming) formed the group after quitting Artrocker post-punk band Electric Shocks in late 2005. Deathline spent summer 2006 developing their sound, which is a lo-fi blend of electronic backing and harsh, garage rock style overdriven instrumentation, that was labelled "rock noir" by their supporters due to its dark and atmospheric nature.

They studied acoustic science and the work of Hermann Helmholtz, particularly being inspired by the book ‘On the wires of our nerves’ which is essential reading for anyone interested in the science of sound and sound synthesis.
