also known as: HELMHOLTZ RESONATORS The Helmholtz Resonators are three musicians who have been playing and writing music together since meeting at university around the turn of the century. They studied acoustic science and the work of Hermann Helmholtz, particularly being inspired by the book ‘On the wires of our nerves’ which is essential reading for anyone interested in the science of sound and sound synthesis.
