Dirty South

Dirty South caught the technically transmitted disease of DJing long before he even owned his first set of turntables. He taught himself mixing skills on his NEC tape deck, utilising nothing more than its twin cassette players and a pause button to recreate the sounds of club DJing in the safety of his own bedroom. By the time he got his first decks at the start of the millennium he’d already honed the techniques ready to take on the world of his heroes. At the same time he was mastering the concept of DJing, Dirty South was also readying himself for a future in studio knob-twiddling.

Pictures At an Exhibition

As said on their Myspace (myspace.com/PicturesExhibition): "We offer to the music world an odd mix of metal, symphonic, punk and gothic rock. As a band, we draw our influences from various sources to create the raw musical palette that is Pictures at an Exhibition. Originally a folk rock band (the first song being a rendition of "Scotland the Brave"), we have mutated through several line-up and genres changes (such as punk rock to symphonic metal), finally reuniting in late September of 2007, just in time to perform at the Burnt Toast Café, hosted at D'Arcy Mcgee High school."

Mark Farina

Mark Farina Shortly after Mark befriended Derrick Carter in 1988 at a record store in Chicago, his passion for House music, and sharing it with the world, exploded. Mark experimented with a deeper style, dropping De La Soul, disco classics and other stuff that wasn’t being played in the main rooms of nightclubs. While exploring his love for the purist forms of House Music, Mark developed his trademark style: Mushroom Jazz; acid jazz infused with the West Coast’s jazzy, organic productions combined with urban beats.
