Korrontzi

The trikitixa (diatonic accordion), the alboka (double clarinet) and the mandolin characterize the particular sound of Korrontzi, a young group from the Basque Country. A musical set that is completed by percussion and bass. Korrontzi departing from the basque music tradition with their first album pay homage to the famous trikitilaris (accordion players) whose music still represents an integral part of the popular basque culture. Korrontzis stage performance can be described as both dynamic and modern creating a melodical and pulsative ambiance similar to the celtic music.
