Bob Mintzer (born January 27, 1953), originally from New Rochelle, New York, is a jazz saxophonist, composer, arranger and big band leader based in Los Angeles. After graduating from the Interlochen Arts Academy in 1970, Mintzer made his mark as a soloist, mainly on the tenor saxophone and the bass clarinet. The Klezmatics are an American klezmer band based in New York City. Formed in New York's East Village in 1986, the band plays an updated form of the music, mixing it with other musical traditions, singing in English and Yiddish. They have also participated in cross-cultural collaborations, most notably with the Palestinian musician Simon Shaheen.

Tanghetto

Tanghetto is a Buenos Aires-based band that focuses its material in the combination of Argentine tango with electronic music, jazz and other musical genres. The “Tanghetto sound” is rather unique; it's a fusion of diverse sources of inspiration, both contemporary and traditional, that converge in Buenos Aires with the bandoneon (the nostalgic and characteristic instrument of the tango). Bandoneon takes the singer's role and is surrounded by diverse acoustic instruments and a sonic wall of synths and samplers.

Joe Lovano

Joseph Salvatore Lovano was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 29, 1952 and grew up in a very musical household. His dad, Tony, aka Big T, was a barber by day and a big-toned tenor player at night. "Big T," along with his brothers Nick and Joe, other tenor players, and Carl, a bebop trumpeter, made sure Joe's exposure to Jazz and the saxophone were early and constant. Joe's mom, Josephine, and her sister Rose were serious listeners, as well.

John Abercrombie (b. 1944) is a U.S. jazz guitarist. Abercrombie was born on 16th December 1944 in Port Chester, New York. He first came to prominence with fusion-oriented recordings in the 1970s. His first album, Timeless, with Jack DeJohnette, and Mahavishnu Orchestra's Jan Hammer was an international success. He is also known for his work with Stark Reality, Billy Cobham, Ralph Towner, and the Brecker Brothers.

Keziah Jones (born Olufemi Sanyaolu on January 10, 1968 in Lagos, Nigeria) is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He describes his musical style as “Blufunk”, which is a fusion between raw blues elements and hard, edgy funk rhythms. Also his Nigerian roots and soul music can be considered a major influence on his sound.
He is known for his distinctive style of guitarplaying, above all his percussive right-hand technique which is similar to bass player's slapping technique. He's also famous for playing most of his live shows with a bare torso.

The Experimental Tropic Blues Band

This is a band that has set out to continue the legacy of the big names of rock'n'roll - Johnny Cash, the Cramps, Elvis, Bo Diddley, Hasil Adkins - setting to music stories of damned souls. Though not known for being an exciting country, they are indeed from Belgium, and they do indeed manage to whip up an atmosphere of wild debauchery at all their gigs. Their performances are hot and spicy, frequently involving nudity, alongside their stomping bluesy rock'n'roll tunes. You'll drink up their sound and the atmosphere to the last drop.
