Though they have changed their style over the years, Cable was originally part of the first wave of bands playing in the so-called style (as it later became known), combining a / aesthetic with a rhythmically complex, often discordant metal-influenced musical approach.

There are at least 3 artists with this name. 1) Emanuel is a five-piece post-hardcore band from Clarksville, Indiana, United States. They formed in 1998 under their lesser known name Emanuel Nice and appeared on four releases, before getting signed to Vagrant Records and changing their name in 2004. Their debut album was Soundtrack To A Headrush. Their second full length, Black Earth Tiger, was released on August 28th, 2007.

Desaparecidos

Desaparecidos was a short-lived American quintet formed in 2001 in Omaha, Nebraska, fronted by Conor Oberst (vocals, guitar) and featuring Denver Dalley, now of Statistics (guitar), Landon Hedges, now of Little Brazil (bass), Ian McElroy (keyboards), and Matt Baum (drums). This project however was restarted in 2010. Oberst may be better known for his confessional songwriting and storytelling as the lead singer of the popular indie folk band Bright Eyes, but Desaparecidos has a very different flavor.

Ghosts on the Intercom

Ghosts on the Intercom are a hardcore/post-hardcore band from York, England. They have recently recorded their debut Ep, "Zinc Zinc Zinc Boom! And The Lizard King", at BH Media, and it is available free at their shows. Their current line up is Tom Robinson - Guitar + Vocals, Alex Woolgar - Drums, Rich Morley - Bass. They have been lucky enough to share the stage with BlakFish, Rolo Tomassi, Tubelord, Meet Me In Saint Louis, Im sorry Callfield, Tellison, From The Captain and The Novelties.

We Are Fiction are a Post-Hardcore band from Peterborough, England. Formed in 2007, We Are Fiction formed from the ashes of Between Broken Ashes, when they split up earlier that year. The band consists of Between Broken Ashes' final line-up, but with new vocalist Phillip Barker. They signed to Rising Records in August 2008. Phil Barker - Vocals

Cult of Luna

Cult of Luna are a Swedish Sludge/Post-Metal band formed in 1998 in Umeå, Sweden by guitarist/vocalist Johannes Persson and vocalist Klas Rydberg. After some member hunting and rehearsals CoL had its first line-up consisting of: Klas Rydberg, Johannes Persson, Magnus Lindberg, Erik Olofsson and Fredrik Renstrom. After a short period of time, Fredrik had to leave due to some personal difficulties.

Celeste

There is more than one artist with this name: 1.) Celeste is a French band with ex-Mihai Edrisch members. They released their first EP, "Pessimiste(s)", at the end of November 2006, an album in 2007 entitled "Nihiliste(s)", and their latest release ,their second full-length, "Misanthrope(s)" was out in in February 2009.
2.) Celeste is an Italian progressive rock band composed of Giorgio Battaglia (bass), Leonardo Lagorio (keyboards, flute), Ciro Perrino (percussion, flute, vocals) and Mario Schiavolini (guitars, violin).

Tera Melos

Tera Melos is a band from Sacramento, California, that incorporates many styles of rock, jazz, ambient electronics and unconventional song structure all in one, to create their original genre. They are currently a four-piece (formerly four, then three, now four again), consisting of a guitarist/vocalist, bassist, drummer and a new guitar/keyboardist/vocalist added to the line-up. Although they have never released the meaning behind their name, tera melos is Latin for one thousand melodies and is most likely the origin of their name.
