"Wizz began his musical career leading a Country and Skiffle band called "The Wranglers" in his home town of Croydon, Surrey in 1958. He had been inspired to take up the acoustic guitar a year or so before this after hearing such guitar luminaries as Big Bill Broonzy, Rambling Jack Elliot and Muddy Waters playing at a club in London organized by Cyril Davies and Alexis Korner (The Roundhouse in Wardour Street).

Sweet Baboo a.k.a Stephen Black formulated in the hills of North Wales some 10 or 11 years ago, initially as a way to impress girls and to waste Sundays. The Gentle Good is a Welsh folk project devised by Gareth Bonello from Cardiff, Wales. He plays folk songs on his acoustic guitar in both English and Welsh. He appeared on 'In the City - Unsigned 2006', a compilation album from the In The City festival with the song 'Amser'. In the summer of 2007 an EP titled 'Dawel Disgyn' was released by Gwymon Records and this was followed by the debut album 'While you slept I went out walking' on the same label in November 2008.
Vocalist and fiddler player Lisa Knapp grew up in London, fed on a music diet which lurched from house to dance to pop, through The Waterboys to Van Morrison, finally landing her in the unlikely environs of folk music by way of a friend’s record collection. What followed were several years of musical exploration which included countless days rediscovering recordings and books of traditional singers and songs from early 20th century through to the folk revival of the ‘60s and ‘70s, by way of the folk music archives at Cecil Sharp House in Camden.

Multi front-men, Multi-coloured A couple of rooms above a little pub in Borough are the MMO HQ. Something of an east-end Big Pink, The Gladstone is where the Moon Music Orchestra has gone from loose-knit collective to folk-rock force. Feet firmly on the ground, the band run the pub and practice above it. The walls upstairs are lined with banjos, guitars and mandolins while a well-worn tape-machine resides on the coffee-table, ready to roll.
