Giannis Ploutarxos

Giannis Ploutaxos, Yiannis Ploutarhos (or Yiannis Kakossaios as this is his real name) was born in 18th December 1970 in a small village outside Orxomenos called Mavrogia. He lived there until the age of sixteen, he then decided to go to Athens to make his dream come true: to become a singer. He sang professionally for the first time in a small music hall in Koridalos area. Disappointed by the conditions prevailing in the music business, he abandoned it twice and occupied himself with other professions and in particular hairdressing so as to make a living.

Born in Athens, Greece, Savina Yannatou (Σαβίνα Γιαννάτου) studied song with G.Georilopoulou at the National Conservatory and later with Spiros Sakkas at the Workshop of Vocal Art in Athens. She attended postgraduate studies (performance and communication skills) at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, with a scholarship awarded by the Mousigetis Foundation. The Occasional Flickers

Edinburgh-based band 'The Occassional Flickers' are originally from Athens, Greece. Giorgos Bouras has been going under the Occasional Flickers guise for a couple of years now and the debut album 'Scattered Songs' has just been released on Peru's Plastilna Records which is the home to the likes of Annemarie and Amida amongst others. The current line-up features Giorgos Bouras, Bart Owl, Jamie Scott, Panayotis Baras, Ola Rek and Ailig Hunter.
