Bixby Canyon

Bixby Canyon are:
Jake - Vox/guitar
Yelo - Bass
Fletcher - Drums Bixby Canyon (is that a Death Cab reference?) are harsh and grungy. Their frontman probably needs a bigger stage, even with the mic stands moved onto the floor he’s bouncing off his bandmates and running off to do a lightning lap of the half-empty room. Their unassuming bass player looks like Michael Cera, so it’s an impressive surprise when he steps up to the mic and screams like his guts are on fire. - Jody MacGregor - Rave Magazine live review

Beach Day

Hailing from the self-dubbed "Hollyweird," Florida, the trio Beach Day has a sound that has been heavily influenced by their surroundings. They make new music, but it is definitely old at heart. And it’s definitely sunny, but not without some murkiness. Kimmy, Natalie and Skyler met at a local show and quickly bonded over their love of 60’s Girl Groups, their dissatisfaction with their current musical endeavors and a common desire to be in a band that was purely about fun and making music without pretense.

Royal Baths

Featuring ex-members of Tea Elles and formally called The Baths, the Royal Baths are a band from San Francisco, CA that are in the same scene as bands like Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees, and The Fresh & Onlys. Unlike those bands, though, the Royal Baths contrast with sunny San Francisco and it's sunny sounds and focus on a very dark and intense form of "" , whilst combining other, more melodic elements.

Tony Humphries

The mix he submitted proved a success an he was given his own permanant mix show at the station shortly after.

Ricky Spontane

Taken from their Facebook page (not that it does them justice because they're a much loved band originally from Liverpool that were too lazy to take over the world!) - "Post punk quirk with a modicum of yelp. Their sentiment and melodies will walk with you always. Hometown: Made originally in Liverpool but they now prowl the world." Taken from band website - "The Liverpudlian garage punk behemoths it's okay to snog during your first date" (NME)
