Tony Humphries

A Brooklyn native, Tony Humphries is one of the most important names in the evolution of House and Garage music. He landed his first professional DJ gig at Manhattan's upper-class Club El Morocco at the tail end of the Disco explosion in 1975. Disco and Dance music fell off the Mainstream radar soon after, but Humphries remained. In 1981 he got his first big break when legendary producer Shep Pettibone requested a Mix Tape from Tony to fill in for a no show on KISS FM NY. The mix he submitted proved a success an he was given his own permanant mix show at the station shortly after.

Bubblegum Screw

Take a bit of Max's Kansas City New York sleaze and mix it in with the primeval brutality of Iggy & the Stooges, the seedy glamour of 1970s glitter-trash and the caveman stomp of sixties garage rock and you've got a group that's on a take-no-prisoners rock'n'roll mission. Seeing them on stage for the first time, you'll think you're actually looking at Johnny Thunders, Dee Dee Ramone and Stiv Bators rocking out once again.

Supra1

Hailing from the former Eastern Bloc, Poland’s Supra1 produce next-level dubstep, UK funky, and bassline house wobblers that kill it on dancefloors worldwide. Hailing from historic Krakow—where they throw an epic underground party of their own—they debuted on Trouble & Bass last year with a killer remix of Little Jinder’s “Polyhedron” that was supported by everyone from Diplo to Basement Jaxx, as well as reaching #1 in Beatport.com’s “Top 10 Late Night Bangers” chart.

Beach Day

Hailing from the self-dubbed "Hollyweird," Florida, the trio Beach Day has a sound that has been heavily influenced by their surroundings. They make new music, but it is definitely old at heart. And it’s definitely sunny, but not without some murkiness. Kimmy, Natalie and Skyler met at a local show and quickly bonded over their love of 60’s Girl Groups, their dissatisfaction with their current musical endeavors and a common desire to be in a band that was purely about fun and making music without pretense.

Glow Kit

Garage-pop or punk-powerpop? Glow Kit don’t gamble on horses – the aesthetics here are dirty, catchy and hard-hitting. In a time when the term ‘pop music’ is luckily no longer a curse word among picky music lovers, we need musicians who know how to write a good pop song. No matter what genre or style this melody relates to! In this case, the Aarhus, Denmark duo devise a blend of / / that draws on inspiration from musicians such as The Beat, Black Lips, the late Jay Reatard and others.
