Artist Type:

John B McKenna

John B McKenna hails from Carluke - a town more famous for its cartographers than its musicians. A genuine and original artist, his music has been described as the missing link between Bob Dylan and Boards of Canada. His intense lyrical imagery, bordering on the visionary is combined with ambient folk electronica to startling poetic effect. In the past year John has performed on bills with Jeffrey Lewis, The Twilight Sad, Grizzly Bear, The Aliens, Voice of The Seven Woods, The Most Serene Republic and Franz Ferdinand amongst others.

Artist Type:

Tortuga

Having risen from the ashes of the highly underrated November Coming Fire, Tortuga offer a violent & moody landslide of fast-paced, aggressive post-hardcore, noise and doom. Taking influences from bands such as Breather Resist, Black Sabbath & Queens Of The Stone Age, Tortuga have a feast of riff-tastically heavy and chaotic doom-laden songs for even the most cynical listener to sink their teeth into.

The New Dominion

The band was formed in March 2006. Bart, Tom and Stip already knew each other from popcentre 013 and from the metalscene in Tilburg, they had talked for a while about forming a brutal band but a drummer was missing then.
In March Tom contacted a drummer who he knew from a few years back. After two rehearsels, Yuma and Tom were confident that Bart and Stip would like the idea of what they were doing riffwise and asked them to join the band. They were full of enthousiasm and a month later Bart came up with the name of this new formation and THE NEW DOMINION was born.
