The Queensberry Rules

Hailing from the working class suburbs surrounding Stoke-on-Trent, The Having spent three years serving their apprenticeship in the folk clubs of Britain, The Queensberry Rules first signified their arrival on the folk circuit with the release of their 2004 album – ‘Heritage and History’. Self produced and released, it contained a collection of songs focusing, in the main, on their home city of Stoke on-Trent. Songs such as ‘The Saggar Makers Bottom Knocker’ and the title track, talked of trade and industry synonymous with the area, whilst ‘Jam Jar Wakes’ dealt with the local traditions.

INSTRUMENTS (always spelled with all capital letters by the band) is a three member experimental rock ensemble based in Halifax, NS, Canada. J. LaPointe, Jon Hutt, and Daniel MacDonald began playing together as early as 1991, formally establishing themselves as The MOTES (along with Craig Thibault) in 1994. The foursome released six albums before disbanding in 1998. LaPointe spent 1998 - 2001 playing in North of America, touring extensively and releasing four albums, while Hutt spent that time developing his Recyclone project...

Nathan Ball

Nathan Ball is a singer-songwriter formerly of acoustic duo The Ballinsky Project and the band Nayfumble. He has been writing songs since his teens and at the age of 20 won the North West Song Writing Competition. Until 2008, Nathan played as The Ballinsky Project with cellist Adrianne Wininsky during which time they released “The Control Z Sessions”. Currently based in London, Nathan now performs as a solo artist and will be at several UK summer festivals in 2009, including Small World, Sunrise Celebration...

Ruby Jean And The Thoughtful Bees

this band will soon be exploding on the scene once they get a record out there. They've been maturing their sound and tweeking things to almost perfection. They've played super solid live shows around Halifax and played a kick ass show set at this years East Coast Music Awards 2008 in Fredericton(NB) on the Nova Scotia stage. Rebekah Higgs who has a superbe voice creates wacky interesting sounds with her voice and a chaos pad.
