Solo

Solo is the Dutch songwriter Michiel Flamman in co-operation with among others Simon Gitsels. Flamman, debuted as J Perkin with the self-produced record Exhibit a few years back and has been performing at Dutch festivals and clubs since. In the meantime he's become something of a critics favorite and gained an ever growing fan base. In 2004 Flamman joined up with his piano playing friend Gitsels to record the album Songs 'n Sounds in as little as two weeks time. In the Netherlands it was released by Excelsior Recordings.

Charles Spearin

Charles Spearin, founding member of Do Make Say Think, Broken Social Scene and K.C. Accidental released his debut album, The Happiness Project, on Feb. 14, 2009. The Happiness Project mixes music with spoken interviews which Spearin conducted on persons living in his own neighborhood. A theme throughout each interview is the subject of happiness. According to the album's liner notes, after the interviews Spearin would listen to the playback "for moments that were interesting in both meaning and melody," Spearin wrote.

Christian Kane

Christian Kane, born June 27, 1974 in Dallas, Texas, is an actor and singer who is best known for his portrayal of Lindsey McDonald on the television show Angel. He sang "LA Song," which is written by David Greenwalt, is featured on the Angel soundtrack. He was recently a cast member on the first season of the CBS series Close To Home, and he also fronts the country band Kane. He's still at work putting together a solo album, but split with Sony due to 'creative differences'.

This album was rewarded 3 times platinum. Kacey Johansing

Kacey Johansing's debut album, Many Seasons, plays like a travelogue. Sweeping the listener along from her roots in small town Colorado to Boston to a San Francisco, where Johansing is at something of an epicenter for a rapidly evolving songwriting scene, the album crystallizes a rich Bay Area indie-folk sound bursting at the seams with creativity. Although Many Seasons is a solo album, the guitarist and singer's penchant for collaboration shines through. A member of the bands Honey.Moon.Tree and Honeycomb, Johansing also counts Matt Adams' band The Blank Tapes as frequent collaborators.

David Grubbs

David Grubbs (born September 21, 1967), guitarist, pianist, and vocalist, was a founding member of Squirrel Bait, Bastro, and Gastr Del Sol. He has also played in Bitch Magnet, The Red Krayola and The Wingdale Community Singers. Squirrel Bait was a 1980s Louisville, Kentucky punk rock group that released a 12" EP and an album on Homestead Records. Grubbs's next group was Bastro, which released two albums on Homestead. In 1991 Bastro morphed into the more avant-garde Gastr del Sol. This project soon became essentially a partnership between Grubbs and Jim O'Rourke.
