Dorset girl Jazz Morley possesses a voice with such natural soulfulness beyond her 21 years of age that it possibly comes as no surprise to learn that her first public performance was the first year infants nativity play! Fast forward to the present day and we find a rich, warm, emotive voice capable of the tiniest whisper of love to the full vent of a woman scorned. This year has seen her career blossom having supported Kate Walsh, Chesney Hawkes and Ben Montague.

Kacey Johansing's debut album, Many Seasons, plays like a travelogue. Sweeping the listener along from her roots in small town Colorado to Boston to a San Francisco, where Johansing is at something of an epicenter for a rapidly evolving songwriting scene, the album crystallizes a rich Bay Area indie-folk sound bursting at the seams with creativity. Although Many Seasons is a solo album, the guitarist and singer's penchant for collaboration shines through. A member of the bands Honey.Moon.Tree and Honeycomb, Johansing also counts Matt Adams' band The Blank Tapes as frequent collaborators.

Young Scottish singer/songwriter Esther O’Connor, who signed her first record contract with music colossus EMI aged 17, is now writing and releasing music under her own steam. She runs her own record label, the aptly-named Redhead Records, with husband Tim O’Connor, who also accompanies her on stage with his guitar. Esther’s new album Right Here, despite not having the backing of a major label, has been causing a stir the length and breadth of the country.
