Donnacha Costello

Though Donnacha Costello first began producing music back in 1989, it wasn't until late 2000 that he globally emerged as a truly remarkable producer. Long recognized as one of Dublin, Ireland's most talented producers, Costello may have began his musical career in 1989, but he first began to dabble in minimal electronic music around 1996 after completing his philosophy degree and immersing himself in the concepts of Steve Reich and John Cage.

His third album The Housebound Spirit (Planet-Mu, 2003) won an Honorary Mention at the 2004 Ars Electronica Awards and was featured on The Wire Magazine’s top 50 records of 2003. He writes his own music software, has given talks and exhibited software across Europe (including the ICA) and is also a regular guest speaker at the London College of Communication.

Joe McKee

The Darling Ranges lie about 35 km's south of Perth, Western Australia. The drive is mostly highway, fairly droll until you start actually ascending the hills themselves, at which point great dips and troughs reveal themselves and the whole region takes on a strange arid quality. The area was on fire for about 4 days in early 2011. Joe Mckee grew up in these hills and, after 4 years under the spell of Lon...don, he returned to them. Burning Boy is his debut album.

Artist Type:

Bang on a Can

Bang on a Can is a multi-faceted musical organization based in New York City. It was founded in 1987 by three American composers who remain its artistic directors: Julia Wolfe, David Lang, and Michael Gordon. It is a major force in the presentation of new concert music, and has presented hundreds of musical events worldwide. The San Francisco Chronicle has called Bang on a Can "the country's most important vehicle for contemporary music."

Artist Type:

Broker

Broker was born in Glasgow, Scotland. No band would have him so he has been a lone wolf all his days. His primary influences are other lone wolves like Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, the Eels (to Broker's mind, there's really just one Eel.) These are largely acoustic songs railing about, among other things, communication failures between people who should know how to talk to each other by now.

Binary Zero

Does anyone really care about the Bio? Some paragraph that describes the band or artist as genius in the making. All that matters is the music. Listen to the music and figure it out on your terms. Music should speak for itself, it does not need to be led on by words, after all we dont read the music on a CD, we listen to it. Find your energy and use the music. Listen.
