Gladiators

There are two uses for "Gladiators": the first is a wrong tag for reggae group The Gladiators and Gladiators is a german power metal band. Gladiators is also a one time used name by Gerard Requena, a spanish Makina Techno producer. Gladiators was a German five piece Power Metal band. They formed in 1998 and disbanded in 2000. They released two albums, Bound To Steel and Steel Vengeance, both of which were released on Black Arrow Productions. One notable member is bass player Maik Metzner, who also played in the ledgendary crust/grindcore band Extreme Noise Terror.

Daley grew up in Waltham Park Road, Kingston, and, influenced by American soul and Jamaican artists such as Dennis Brown, began his singing career by entering local talent shows. He became the lead vocalist for the group The Flaming Phonics, playing live around Jamaica. Daley decided to drop out of school to pursue his music career, which prompted his mother to throw him out of the family home. Needing to make some money, the group tried out for producer Duke Reid, but left before finishing their recording for him due to his habit of firing live gunshots in the studio.

Morgan Heritage

Morgan Heritage is a reggae band formed by five children of famed reggae-artist Denroy Morgan. Despite their relative youth, they have been referred to as "reggae royalty". Having grown up in their father's music studio in the U.S. the group, then consisting of eight of the children, made their first appearance at Reggae Sunsplash in Jamaica. They were subsequently signed by MCA and released their debut album Miracles in 1994. They have since criticized Miracles as being overly pop-influenced.

Niney The Observer

Born in 1951, Montego Bay, Jamaica, Winston "Niney" Holness, or "Niney the Observer," was one of the premiere Jamaican producers of the 1970s. Under the tutelage of producer Bunny Lee, and later Lee "Scratch" Perry, Niney crafted what would become his signature "Observer" sound. His studio band, The Observers, furnished a raw, yet robust sound that often featured plucky guitar riffs. He shaped the reggae soundscape of the 70s working with artists like Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, Dillinger, Leroy Smart, Max Romeo, the Heptones, the Mighty Diamonds, and Tommy McCook (to name a few).
