Phi-Life Cypher is a Luton-based rap group, having cemented their reputation from underground hip hop clubs, today embracing their recent popularity. Phi-Life's achievements include appearing live on the Brit Awards, touring and appearing on B-side tracks with Gorillaz and DJ Vadim and being voted Best Live Act at Kings College, Cambridge. They are best known for their accomplished stage presence, freestyles and frenetic rhyming.

Komputer

Komputer is the project of two London-based synth-meisters: Simon Leonard and David Baker, releasing on Mute Records. The duo have been writing, mixing and producing together for over 25 years, formerly in I Start Counting & Fortran 5. Their new album is Synthetik. Their sound is rigorously electronic and their tracks deal with such diverse subjects as: Russian cosmonauts, rubbish compactors and mobile phone ringtones. Musical antecedents and influences include Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, Syd Barrett and Brian Eno.

Sonny Black

In 2002 Bushido released the album "Carlo, Cokxxx, Nutten" under his pseudonym, Sonny Black (arguably in the same manner as Eminem), in which he worked with Fler. The name would appear to be a nod towards his American musical influence; in that country, Sonny Black was the mafia nickname of notorious Bonanno crime family mobster Dominick Napolitano. In 2003 he released the solo album Vom Bordstein bis zur Skyline. It was an enormous success for what was still basically an underground release.

Jurassic Penguin

Matt Watts left the band to join As I Lay Dying Jesus Christ returned and saved Chris from the Rapture Sam mouthed off to the wrong dude and is no longer with us. Jurassic 5

Jurassic 5 was originally a six-piece hip-hop crew that was formed in 1993 at the Los Angeles, California venue Good Life. Rappers Chali 2na, Akil, Zaakir aka Soup, Mark 7even, and turntable maestros DJ Nu-Mark and DJ Cut Chemist came together from two separate crews, the Rebels of Rhythm and Unity Committee. Cut Chemist left the band in 2006 to pursue a solo career. The group debuted for TVT Records in 1995 with the single for Unified Rebelution.

Cormega

Cory McKay (born 1970 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn) , better known as Cormega or "MC Cor", is an American emcee best known for his vivid and poignant narratives about inner-city life. Cormega came up as part of the early-'90s Queensbridge, Queens, New York scene that also fostered such name acts as Nas and Mobb Deep, among many others (not to mention the preceding generation of artists affiliated with Marley Marl and the Juice Crew).

Spooks

There are four artists by this name: 1. The Spooks: A late 90's HipHop/RnB-Band, similar to the Fugees. The group recorded "S.I.O.S.O.S., Vol. 1" in 1999 for Artemis Records. The album was a huge success in Europe but hardly made a dent in American markets. After attaining success throughout Europe with their record S.I.O.S.O.S., Vol. 1, Spooks garnered a hit with the single "Things I've Seen" (featured in the Laurence Fishburne film Once in the Life). Water-Water left the group before their second album Faster Than You Know and died in a car accident shortly before the album's release.

There are several artists called Fenster. 1. FENSTER (Bln via NYC) // Formed in 2010 by JJ, a New Yorker, Jonathan, a Berliner, and later completed by percussionist/journalist Lukas FENSTER makes de-constructed pop music, exploring electro acoustic arrangements peppered with traffic noises and bird calls. Their lyrics are often carefully constructed dream narratives, finding inspiration in the world of ghosts, graveyards. trains, religious imagery, and broken machinery. In their music, they build songs around errors, blending melodic chords with broken beats or minimal percussion.
