Iron Maiden

There are two artists with this name: 1) Iron Maiden is a New Wave of British Heavy Metal band. Formed in London in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, they are one of the most successful and influential bands in the heavy metal genre, selling over 100 million albums worldwide. Iron Maiden has so far released fourteen studio albums, four "best of" compilations, eight live albums and four limited boxed-sets. They won the Ivor Novello Award for international achievement in 2000.

Samson

Multiple artists go by the name Samson. 1. Samson was a heavy metal band formed in 1977 by guitarist and vocalist Paul Samson. They are best known for their first three albums with future Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson, then known as "Bruce Bruce", and drummer Thunderstick (real name Barry Graham or Barry Purkis), who wore a leather mask and performed on stage in a metal cage. Drummer Clive Burr was also member of the band, both before and after his time with Iron Maiden. The group effectively disbanded with Paul Samson's death to cancer on August 9, 2002.

Volture

Over a few beers at a local Richmond watering hole during November 2008, the subject of putting a band together was raised between friends and fellow musicians Ryan Waste and Nick Poulos. The two had been tape trading for many years, delving increasingly deeper into obscure NWOBHM and early Scandinavian and European heavy metal. A life-long heavy metal devotee, Ryan had formed a band in 2003 under the moniker of Immortal Avenger. Former members of Immortal Avenger including co-founder and vocalist Brent Hubbard and drummer Barry Cover would soon be called upon again to start a fresh project.

Soldier

UK Heavy Metal band, formed in 1979 by Ian Dick, the original Soldier line up were Ian Dick (Guitar), Al Cannam (Guitar), Ram Tiwary (Bass), Steve Garner (Drums) and Garry Phillips (Vocals). Garry joined the band on the eve of the recording session that included the version of Silver Screen Teaser that appeared in many early Sounds Heavy Metal charts. This line up gigged mostly around the Midlands, however it was not long before the first of several personnel changes took place.

Rock Goddess

Rock Goddess was an all-female New Wave Of British Heavy Metal band that briefly enjoyed cult status in the early 1980s in Britain. The band was formed in Wandsworth, South London in 1977, by sisters Jody (guitar) and Julie Turner (drums) when they were thirteen and nine years old respectively. They recruited school friend Tracey Lamb on bass and Donnica Camon on keyboards. They rehearsed intensively and, through a friend, managed to place a track on a sampler album.

Wolfpack

There are 3 bands known as Wolfpack; 1) Wolfpack was the former name of the Swedish hardcore punk/d-beat band Wolfbrigade. Wolfpack changed their bandname to Wolfbrigade after a right wing racist community started using the name "Wolfpack"; they did not want to be associated with right wing politics. 2) Wolfpack were a 5-piece thrash/traditional metal band from Preston, UK. They released one album entitled "Total Head Removal" before changing their name to Salem (UK) and releasing a demo called "Impending Doom"

4) Folk/metal/ambient project from Portugal 1) Black metal band that now resides in Edmonton, Canada was founded by Vetis Monarch in 2003, in Calgary. However, first demo ("Within the Flesh of the Satanist", 2004) - and an EP ("Violated Hejab", 2005) were both recorded in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In late 2005 Vetis Monarch moved back to Canada.
