Good Riddance

Good Riddance is a band hailing from Santa Cruz, California. They formed in 1986 and after over twenty years, eight albums, and countless tours, played their farewell show in 2007. They played fast and explosive punk and hardcore music that was heavily influenced by the early American hardcore scene. The lyrical themes varied from political protests and analysis of the American society, to personal struggles and alienation. On occasion, the band had also been known to write slower, sometimes romantic songs.

Ambitions

Ambitions began in 2005 as a way for Jay and Jeff Aust and John Ross to challenge the boundaries that separate hardcore and punk. Taking a range of diverse influences, not the least of which include Quicksand, Turning Point, Face To Face, and Avail, Ambitions released a demo and began to play shows all along the east coast. In September of 2006, Ambitions released their EP "Question" on Think Fast! which garnered rave reviews and caught the attention of Bridge Nine. They went on to release their debut LP Stranger on November 6, 2007.

Hands

There is more than one band with the name Hands: [1] Shane Ochsner, Josh Silbernagel, Chris Schwartz and Jerik Hendrickson are collectively Hands, a band that combines circling atmospheric guitars punctuated with hard hitting progressions. They are a band in which rock and roll meets ambient hardcore and warm silvery singing rivals hardcore screams. The warmth of their songs is in strong contrast to the raw biting North Dakota weather that surrounds them.

Sleeping Giant

Sleeping Giant represent a great and terrible day when all living things will return to dust; and their sound is as formidable as one might suspect the apocalypse should be. Sleeping Giant charged onto the Redlands, CA scene in 2006 with their bold and powerful live show, where in addition to being entranced by ominous guitars, crowds are met with burning passion from articulate front man Thom Green. The sincerity behind the words that pour out from Greens mouth is deeply rooted in the bands unwavering love for The Lord.

Dog Eat Dog

Dog Eat Dog made its big breakthrough in 1994 with the hit single No Fronts and the album All Boro Kings. The story behind Dog Eat Dog started a little earlier though... Dog Eat Dog has actually been around since 1990, when Dave Neabore and Sean Kilkenny decided to form a band of their own after previously playing in another band called Mucky Pup. A short while later Dave and Sean were accompanied by John Connor who was to act as the voice of the band and Dan Nastasi, who would play the second guitar.
