Spawned from the American Hardcore scene, the Parisian band Providence emerged in 2006. Within this time, the band had made a solid name for themselves in the hardcore community. With ferocious intensity and a lot of heart, Providence has toured Europe with well known acts such as NYC legends Madball, 25 ta Life, Nueva Etica, Shattered Realm, CDC and many other heavy hitters. This vigorous approach to making a name in life and music certainly paid off. Providence was approached and agreed to lay their tracks to wax with the highly regarded underground London based label Rucktion Records.
There are a number of producers who are known for being prolific; Roska, Cooly G, Benga to name a few, and now Gerry Read can be added to that list. The Cambridgeshire producer has only a handful of actual releases to his name, but a vault of hundreds. We can well imagine his hardrive straining from the sheer velocity of ideas that he sends our way. Raw, urgent and frequently off kilter, Gerry's production challenges your ears but always manages to lock in the groove.

Horsepower Productions are truly unique. Many credit them along side El-B for the creation of the genre that is 'dubstep' Their debut LP 'In Fine Style' was released in November 02 and was a collection of 6 new tracks - making up a double 12" (with bonus re-issue 'Gorgon Sound') and a single 13 track CD. The CD contained these seven tracks and a collection of other Horsepower 12"s now mainly out of press.
