Out of the ashes of Yorks last wave of punk bands (The Hazard/Carnival Rejects) comes an all new assault on the punk scene! Dicko and Bilo have been trying to start a street punk band for years and since the Hazard split Bilo has switched from lead vocals to drums to sort the constant problem of drummers quitting... With the line-up now completed by Jim and James, bringing their own influences, they should be available to gig this Spring/Summer 2009! they have a new demo planned for July when Dicko returns from his travels to America ..

I first heard of Poppy And The Jezebels back in September 2006 when they performed a live session for Mark Riley's BBC 6 Music radio show. The music is a glorious mix of 80's post punk, pop, Velvet Underground and even a splash of kraut rock for good measure. Their debut single can currently be heard on their MySpace page.... http://www.myspace.com/poppyandthejezebels

Though they are young and yet to be signed, the band shows an energy and vitality that is undeniable, and their live shows always leave something with you. They already have a growing fan base, and have a steady live schedule, often performing with DARKROOM PROJECT.
Gothic rockers Solemn Novena formed in early 2006, with a mission of creating guitar orientated Gothic Rock, no techno bleepy influences or metal posturing for these guys, oh no. This had to be straight down the middle goth, just like the 90’s had never happened. Or this century either. Sick of going to ‘gothic’ nightclubs and spending the nights looking moody in the corners, secretly wishing they’d play 'Serpent’s Kiss' (so they could display the light bulb changing and apple picking dance moves...
