Rasputina

Rasputina is a "" ensemble composed of singer/cellist Melora Creager, and various, frequently changing band members. The current lineup includes Creager (cello), Daniel Dejesus (cello), and Dawn Miceli (drums). Founded by Creager in 1992, they have long held true to their mission of enlightening the common man as to the power and versatility of the mighty cello. Historically influenced, and constantly costumed, Rasputina keeps a small legion of incredibly passionate admirers enthralled with their earnest musicianship.

Stiff Little Fingers

Stiff Little Fingers are a punk band, originally based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, formed in 1977. They started out as a schoolboy band called Highway star, doing rock covers, until they discovered punk. They split up after six years and four albums, although they reformed five years later, in 1987. Despite massive personnel changes, they are still touring and recording as of 2008. Parliament

Parliament was originally The Parliaments, a doo-wop group based out of George Clinton's Plainfield, New Jersey barber shop. The name was soon abandoned due to legal issues with Revilot and Atlantic Records, and most of the same people recorded under the name Funkadelic, which consisted of The Parliaments' backing musicians. Billy "Bass" Nelson is credited with creating the name Funkadelic. He also switched from 6-string guitar to bass, creating room for his childhood friend Eddie Hazel to join the group.

Bruce Cockburn

Bruce Cockburn, (pronounced "CO-burn"), has had a long and distinguished career with much success in his native Canada. His first albums were fairly straight ahead folk music spotlighting his brilliant guitar playing. In fact, there were a good number of instrumental guitar numbers on those early recordings. A Christian element came into his music around the time of the album Salt, Sun And Time, and over time his writing has taken on a stronger and stronger political orientation.

Geoff Baker

Geoff Baker is a California-based singer/songwriter who has released three CDs to date: "Patriot Acts" (2004), "Know the Rain Here" (2004), and "Adding Up the Everything We Lost" (2008). (A different Geoff Baker, based in Ohio, released the CD, "Alone at Night: A Vampire's Tale.") "Patriot Acts" (2004) is a five-song EP about America under the reign of George W. Bush, written in the tradition of Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, and Billy Bragg.

The Coup

The Coup is a group based in Oakland, California. It formed as a three-member group in 1992 with rappers (Raymond) Boots Riley and E-Roc along with DJ Pam the Funkstress. E-Roc left on amicable terms after the group's second album, but appears on the track "Breathing Apparatus" on The Coup's third album, Steal This Album. The group is now a duo. The Coup, part of the sub-genre of political hip hop, is politically radical and Marxist in their music, and align themselves with other radical hip-hop groups like dead prez.

Georgia Potter

Georgia is an advocate for music with a social conscience. An alert listener of music, politics and people, Georgia has developed a calling to use music for social awareness: as a public voice with a positive social conscience, as a politician without the tie or the hidden agenda, as a woman with a whole lot of love, and as a human being with a few stories to tell. Aided by her piano which doubles as a family heirloom, the bashed up Suzuki guitar she learnt on, and her glistening new classical semi-acoustic, Georgia writes most solo, however is currently working on some new projects.
