My Left Boot

My Left Boot formed in 2005 in response to the film March of the Penguins, narrated by Acadamy Award nominated actor Morgan Freeman. Since then the band has taken their brand of psychedelically infused fuzz rock to grand new heights musically, whilst continuing to grab fans along the way. The band has played at the most loved venues and festivals across the the continent, sharing stages with countless amazing bands and it shows. The Boot

Zonderhoof

Zonderhoof are based in South Wales and their music has been described as a "killer stoner-sludge-doom-metal hybrid with some heady atmospherics". They first released their 3 track demo in 2006 which led to the release of their debut EP/Mini album on Sound Devastation Records in 2007. Their music is mostly instrumental, aggressive and very loud. Rooted in hard rock, hardcore punk and metal, the band take inspiration from a mixture of classic influences like Breach, Melvins and Black Sabbath mixed with similarities to present day bands such as High on Fire and Neurosis.

Kinch

Kinch is an indie pop band from Phoenix, Arizona. Their sound has been described as brusque power pop, "an alt-rock pop style reminiscent of a few Brit bands, hearkening back to the sensibilities of '60s garage rock." The band's debut album, Advances, was recently honored as the Best Arizona Album of 2008 by the Phoenix New Times. Their pop sound has drawn comparisons to Coldplay and the The Strokes, while others have likened them to Ben Folds, The Arcade Fire and Blur. The name 'Kinch' is a reference to the character Stephen Dedalus in the novel Ulysses by James Joyce.

Blood Duster

Blood Duster are a five piece // band from Melbourne, Australia, known for their fast and heavy musical style. The band are currently enjoying some semi-mainstream success after their self-titled Blood Duster album and an appearance at the annual Big Day Out festival. The band's first offering, Yeest, was a straightforward album. The follow up album, Str8 Outta Northcote was a southern-flavored stoner rock album. The band's third album, Cunt was a more intense and true-to-its-roots offering, with rhythmic bluesy metal guitars and heavy drumwork.

The Sword

There are two bands that Last FM classifies as "The Sword": 1) A doom/stoner metal band from Texas, USA. 2) A melodic punk band from Leeds, UK, called The sWord who formed in 2004 by ex-members of Joe Ninety and Dugong. Burning Colossus

Burning Colossus was formed in 2008 by Johan (Drums), Henrik (Guitar), Jimmy (Vocals and Guitar). Before joining the band Johan had never touched a pair of drumsticks. After a year of rehearsal Burning Colossus decided to enter the studio to record their debut EP. They play music influenced by Rock/Stoner-rock with a progressive touch and a mix from the early heavymetal bands.

Howlin' Rain

This Northern Ca group was formed in 2004 by Ethan Miller of Comets On Fire with Ian Gradek. John Moloney (of Sun burnt hand of the man) joined the group to record the first album, self titled and released by Birdman Records. This has caught comparisons with the early Grateful Dead and the ear of label impresario Rick Rubin. Upon Moloney's departure in 2006 the group was recreated to record "Magnificent Fiend", co-released by Birdman and American Records in 2008.

Mr Black

Solo Grungegaze cum Dark Psychedelicore cum Doom Folk cum Symphonic Noisewave cum Space Pop cum Gothic Soul cum Crust Pop cum Math Funk cum Acid Metal cum Sludgetherealindustrial cum Powerpopviolence cum Southern Postcore project of Mr Black conceived around 2001 as a solo project of Mr Black but not started until sometime in the 90's. Mr Black split up in 2010 following the death of Mr Black leaving behind a wide and well-received catalogue of absolutely no albums whatsoever.

Throne

There are two bands named Throne. The first is a three piece doom/stoner metal band from East London. They make slow, riff-laden facemelters. The second uses alternate casing in their name. There are three members that comprise tHrOnE. One of the most unique aspects of the band, besides their music, is that they are all related to each other. The band includes singer/songwriter and bassist Derek Trafton, his brother, drummer Casey Trafton and their cousin, guitarist/keyboards Justin Millar. tHrOnE was formed in 1995 and originally hails from Connecticut.
