The Termites

There are at least three artists named The Termites: 1) A rocksteady duo consisting of Wentworth Vernal and Lloyd Parks, the Termites' career was a rather short one, although they did manage a big hit in "Have Mercy Mr. Percy" in the late '60s and tracked enough for a single album, Do the Rock Steady, while working almost exclusively with producer Coxsone Dodd at Studio One. Vernal eventually retired from the Jamaican music business, but Lloyd Parks went on to a long and respected career as both a bass player and singer, in time forming his own band, We the People.

John Leyton

John Leyton is an English actor and singer. As a singer he is best known for his hit song "Johnny Remember Me", (written by Geoff Goddard and produced by the legendary Joe Meek) which reached Number 1 in the UK chart in August 1961. John Dudley Leyton was born on 17 February 1939 in Frinton-on-Sea, Essex. After completing his National Service, he studied drama, paying his way through drama school with bit-part roles in films and on television.

The Renegades

There are at least three bands named "The Renegades" (1) A rock band founded in Birmingham, Great Britain, in 1960. The band never had any success in their home country, but they became popular in Finland in the 1960's. The Renegades recorded four LP's in Finland, but broke up in the late 1960's. They were: Kim Brown - vocals and guitar, Denys Gibson - lead guitar, Ian Mallet - bass, Graham Johnson - drums. (2) Alternative / MishMash-rock from Turzovka (Slovakia)

Demian

More than one artist has used the name Demian. Demian (1) was a Texan psychedelic rock band (formerly known as Bubble Puppy), formed in 1966 in San Antonio, Texas by Rod Prince and Roy Cox. Looking to form a "top gun rock band" based on the concept of dual lead guitars, Prince and Cox recruited Todd Potter, a gymnast, saxophone player and guitarist. With the addition of Danny Segovia, the original line up of Bubble Puppy was complete. Bubble Puppy's live debut was as the opening act for The Who in San Antonio.

Serendipity

Serendipity (1981 - 1981) Serendipity was a rock based, ensemble from Leicester, United Kingdom. Created in response to raise money for the ‘Menphys’ charity organisation, members from various outfits joined together to perform. Members were: Sid & Kelv from Companionable Ills, Dave Brown of The Attitude fame, Steve Hutchinson on keyboards and Chris Owen on guitar and vocals.

Smash

1) Band was formed by the sitar/guitar player Gualberto in 1967. At the beginning of the seventies Smash recorded two albums for Philips label "Glorieta de los Lotos" in 1970 and "We Come To Smash This Time" in 1971. Unfortunately early death of the vocalist Julio Matito bring band to the end. Music which Smash create is compare to Moody Blues and Vanilla Fudge psychodelic mood. Through guitar style of Manuel Molina we hear evident flamenco touch, applying on traditional "palos" (tarantos).

Anita Harris

Anita Harris is an English actress, singer and entertainer, born 3rd June 1942 in Midsomer Norton Somerset England. Anita's musical career began as a child although her expectation was to become a dancer. Soon after leaving school she left the UK to train as a choreographed skater in Las Vegas. Even today this would be unusual, but in the 1950s it was an exceptional experience and gives some idea of the kind of expectation held by her family. However, her first significant professional engagement in the UK was as a singer- briefly as one of the few ladies to sing with the Cliff Adams Singers.

Ben E. King

Ben E. King (born Benjamin Earl Nelson in September 28, 1938 in Henderson, North Carolina) is an American soul and pop singer. He is best known as the singer and co-composer of "Stand By Me", a top ten hit in both 1961 and 1986. In 1958, Ben Nelson joined a doo wop group, The Five Crowns. Later that same year, The Drifters' manager fired the members of the group and replaced them with The Five Crowns, who had performed several engagements with The Drifters. He co-wrote the first hit by the new version of The Drifters, "There Goes My Baby" (1959).
