MAXINE BROWN

Maxine Ella Brown (born 18 August 1939, in Kingstree, South Carolina) is an American soul singer. She began singing as a child, performing with two New York based gospel groups when she was a teenager. In 1960, she signed with the small Nomar record label, who released the smooth soul ballad "All in My Mind" late in the year. The single became a hit, climbing to number two on the R&B charts (number 19 pop), and it was quickly followed by "Funny", which peaked at number three.

The Wailers

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) In the mid-60s, Bob Marley, Bunny Livingston (also known as Bunny Wailer), Winston McIntosh (aka Peter Tosh), Junior Braithwaite, Beverley Kelso and Cherry Smith shortened their previous moniker, The Wailing Rudeboys, to The Wailers. Up until 1974, recordings were credited to The Wailers, after which Livingston and Tosh left to pursue solo careers and Marley formed a new backing band, recording as Bob Marley & The Wailers. After Marley's death in 1981, his band continued to tour and record as The Wailers or The Wailers Band.

Bow Street Runners

Sounding like a blend of Jefferson Airplane and the Doors, Bow Street Runners was a Fayetteville, North Carolina-based psychedelic band who released one eponymous album in limited quantities on B.T. Puppy Records in 1970. While the group was ignored at the time, Bow Street Runners became a collectible item among psychedelic aficionados during the '80s and '90s. Flushed from Fayetteville, North Carolina-where they thought they could remain comfortably obscure-by our release of their only album, the Runners have recently re-surfaced.

Mike Berry (born Michael Hubert Bourne, 24 September 1942, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England) is an English actor and singer, best known for his appearances as Mr. Spooner on the British sitcom, Are You Being Served?. He had three hits in the 1960s in the UK Singles Chart (notably "Tribute To Buddy Holly"). His first singles were produced by Joe Meek.
