Searchers

The Searchers are a British rock band who emerged as part of the 1960s merseybeat scene along with The Beatles, The Swinging Blue Jeans, and Gerry & The Pacemakers. The band's hits included a remake of the Drifters' 1961 hit, "Sweets for My Sweet"; remakes of Jackie DeShannon's "Needles and Pins" and "When You Walk In The Room"; "Sugar and Spice"; "Don't Throw Your Love Away"; and a remake of The Clovers' "Love Potion No. 9". They were the second group from Liverpool after the Beatles to have a hit in America when "Needles and Pins" charted during the first week of March 1964.

Melanie

Melanie Ann Safka-Schekeryk (known professionally as Melanie) is an American singer-songwriter. Born on February 3rd, 1947, in Astoria, New York City, Melanie made her first recording, "Gimme a Little Kiss", when she was five. She first found chart success in Europe. Her 1969 song "Bobo's Party" reached number one in France. Later that year she had a hit in the Netherlands with "Beautiful People" before performing at Woodstock.

Edison Lighthouse

Edison Lighthouse originated in England as an outgrowth of the successful UK group, The Flying Machine which had a US top 5 hit in November 1969 with "Smile A Little Smile For Me" featuring Les Fradkin on vocals, mellotron, organ and guitar. The producer of that smash hit assembled a new group for a new song called "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)". The Deviants

The Deviants (formerly the Social Deviants) were a musical group in the United Kingdom. Out of the Ladbroke Grove UK Underground Community, a number of bands would emerge. Perhaps the most anarchistic band of the Underground was the Deviants founded and fronted by singer/writer Mick Farren, the Social Deviants, later just the Deviants, made three bizarre albums in two years. Mick Farren states that The Deviants were a community band which "did things every now and then - it was a total assault thing with a great deal of inter-relation and interdependence".

Georgie Fame & the Blue Flames

Georgie Fame (b. June 26, 1943) is a British rhythm and blues and jazz singer and keyboard player whose real name is Clive Powell. Fame was born in Leigh in Lancashire. At sixteen years of age he entered into a management agreement with Larry Parnes, who gave artists new names such as Marty Wilde and Billy Fury. Fame was already playing piano for Billy Fury in a backing band called The Blue Flames, which later became billed as "Georgie Fame and The Blue Flames".
