The Echoes

There are three artists named The Echoes. 1. THE ECHOES were formed in New York City in early 2000 by native Kentuckians Mark Alexander and Teresa Starr. Starr, a poet attending graduate school at Sarah Lawrence College, became the perfect voice for Alexander's insightful lyrics and plaintive melodies. Alexander, a veteran of performance since his elementary school days, had recorded and worked with a multitude of acts and artists over the years; but admitted finding a greater sense of freedom as part of THE ECHOES.

Walker Formed in Los Angeles in 1964, The Seven Souls comprised of several band members, one of whom was to later become a major figure in the rock field, namely Bob Welch.

Mel Williams

Mel Williams a local and International entertainer has performed all over the world. From a tour in the most popular destinations in Spain, The Canary Islands to Shows in Nashville, Philly, and of course locally including all of the Elegant and happening spots in So. Fla. His career started at a bingo hall where his dad worked . Young Mel sang impromptu for the attendants there that night and walked away with a pocket full of nickels, dimes, and quarters. Since then , however the rewards have grown considerably, But, the same spirit endures within.

Born in Norman, Oklahoma, Davis began his musical career in Oklahoma City. His father, Jesse Ed Davis II, was Kiowa and Cherokee while his mother's side was Kiowa. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1962. Davis began his musical career in the late 1950s playing in Oklahoma City and surrounding cities with John Ware, John Selk, Jerry Fisher (later Blood, Sweat & Tears vocalist) Mike Boyle, Chris Frederickson, drummer Bill Maxwell and others.
