The Ely Plains

Not too long ago five guys were drawn together by a mutual love of the music and myths of the canyon, the cotton fields and the dustbowl, the jangle of the west coast, the buzz of the village and what some folks call Americana. With that in mind they wrote some songs mixing together the sounds and tones they love so much. Like the hum of a warmed up Fender tube amp, a Telecaster ready to twang, the click and sway of a quality compressor and tremolo pedal, the strum of a Guild dreadnought, a Hohner harp ready to roll...

Weddings Parties Anything

Weddings Parties Anything, often known as WPA and Weddoes, is an Australian folk rock band formed by Mick Thomas in Melbourne in 1985 and continuing until 1998. Their name came from a Clash song ("Revolution Rock") and musicologist Billy Pinnell described their first album as the best Australian rock debut since Skyhooks' Living in the '70s. WPA initially gained a reputation as a hot new band through their constant touring in their early days, however they never really became a commercial success.

Kort

A collaboration between Cortney Tidwell & Kurt Wagner. Their first record "Invariable Heartache" came out in autumn 2010. It was an early collaboration on Cortney Tidwell’s Don’t Let Stars Keep Us Tangled Up album that led to her and Lambchop's Kurt Wagner performing together at Nashville club The Basement in the summer of 2008. Their cover of Don Williams’ ‘I Believe In You’, a track Lambchop had recorded for their most recent album, OH OHIO, was transformed by KORT’s chemistry into a rowdy, straight-from-the-heart-on-the-sleeve moment of Nashville magic...

Jim O'Rourke

American indie rock and avant-garde musician, composer and producer Jim O'Rourke has been a key component in the increasing overlap of the American and European music , working in everything from and to and and building many a bridge in between. A Chicago native, his work has found equal luck with experimental jazz and fanatics, room denizens, and bedroom experimentalists, and has had the resultant effect of cross-pollinating many otherwise isolated compositional communities.

Over the years, he has released a number of solo recordings as well as recordings with other bands outside of The Mekons, most notably the Waco Brothers, which he co-founded after moving to Chicago in the early '90s. He is strongly involved with the Chicago-based independent record label Bloodshot.

Wovenhand

Woven Hand (also spelled as Wovenhand) is a band from Denver, Colorado led by former 16 Horsepower lead singer David Eugene Edwards. Most of the studio recordings are performed by Edwards with minimal, if any, additional musicians. However, while on tour he plays with additional musicians such as Ordy Garisson, his former bassist Pascal Humbert, and European musician Peter Van Laerhoven. During a limited 2005 North American tour, Woven Hand consisted only of Edwards and a drummer. Since 2006, the group has become a regular band instead of a solo project.
