Sona are a 3-piece grunge rock band from Bangor, North Wales. Formed in November 2003 in the garage of 24-year-old lead guitarist and vocalist Jamie Davies, the band mixes a rocky sound with a melodic undertone. Bassist Kyle Lee joined the band in September 2008, bringing with him a unique style and wealth of experience. Hard-hitting drummer Adam Jones beefs up the Sona sound. The Factory Years The leicester based singer songwriter (who has seen a revival of interest in the mid 2000's and a new label, Burning Shed) was an early member of the factory Records roster. Following the death of Ian Curtis (lead singer in Joy Division), Hewick was trialed by Factory owner Tony Wilson, who placed him in the studio with the remaining members of Joy Division (Peter Hook, Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris) and producer Martin Hannett to record the track Haystack.

Red Sun Revival

Red Sun Revival are an alternative/gothic rock band formed in London, England in 2011. The line-up consists of vocalist/guitarist Rob Leydon, guitarist Matt Helm, bassist Panos Theodoropoulos, and violinist Christina Emery. The band’s sound is defined by sonorous vocals with intricate, often sparkly guitars which float over driving bass lines and weave amongst haunting violin harmonies. The sound has echoes of the orchestral and choral aspects of film soundtracks and often incorporates elements of folk music.

Sylvia Hallett studied music at Dartington, and then spent two years studying composition with Max Deutsch in Paris. She now works both as a composer and as an improviser, and has had pieces performed in Britain and Europe. She has played in many international festivals since the late 1970s, working with several well-known and respected musicians, including Lol Coxhill, Maggie Nicols, Phil Minton, Evan Parker, and the groups Accordions Go Crazy, LaXula, British Summer Time Ends, The London Improvisers Orchestra, and the London Hardingfelelag.

(1) Formed in 1985 in Preston, Lancashire, British thrashers Xentrix (pronounced Zen-tricks) began their careers by playing metal covers before focusing all of their efforts on coming up with original material. Initially known as Sweet Vengeance, guitarist/vocalist Chris Astley, guitarist Kristian Havard, drummer Dennis Gasser and bassist Paul Mackenzie created enough of a stir through their live performances that the English branch of Roadrunner Records took notice and signed the group in January 1989.
