Landmines call the city of Richmond, VA home but it’s membership originates from top to bottom of our great east coast... Boston, Providence, Richmond and Gainesville. Hailing from Essex, England BLACK RADIO was formed in late 2005 by Mike Jones, Allan Gunby and Jay Lloyd. Originally conceived as a side project, the disbanding of Al and Mike's previous band, political punk rockers THE FILAMENTS made BLACK RADIO a top priority. Jay's move to playing bass marks a departure from his stint as the lungs and vocal chords of KILL THE LIGHTS. With a healthy addiction to whiskey nights and speed rock there was only one route the band could ever take; TURBOCHARGED PUNK ROCK.
Applecore is eight years old. They require guidance and positive role models so that they can someday grow up to be a productive member of society. They play punk rock power pop, but also like to play video games, watch movies, read (comic books), color, play with toys, eat (poorly), bathe (with each other), and consume copious amounts of alcohol (as mentioned, they need positive role models). Applecore resides in Bloomington, Indiana and have jobs which they all hope to quit. They drive a van that scares children and write music that scares adults.
100% working class Oi! music from Holland Many times Evil Conduct was compared with legendary Oi! bands from the early eighties. They were even nicknamed "the Dutch Last Resort". Although the band regards this as a big compliment it is obvious that Evil Conduct has its own identity with its own distinctive sound. Their music may be classified as basic, straight-in-yer-face, sing-along working class Oi! with powerfull vocals.
