Giving every ounce of their being over to everything that they set their minds to, CLOSE YOUR EYES blew the top off of the Abilene, Texas music scene and has brought their high energy, passionate brand of hardcore to the masses. With one listen of their Victory Records debut, We Will Overcome, audiences everywhere will notice the authenticity of this spirit-filled, hardcore outfit. Shane Raymond (Vocals) and Brett Callaway (Guitar/Vocals) first met at Hardin-Simmons University. Being the only two "hardcore" kids in the cafeteria connected them immediately.
WILLET is a Rock Band out of Westminster, MD made up of brothers, Jeremy, Justin, and Jordan Willet. Willet tours nationally full time, performing over 250 dates per year. Jeremy, Justin and Jordan grew up in a Christian home taking piano lessons from their father, which resulted in expanding to other instruments such as bass, drums and guitar. Being that the Willet brothers have always shared a close relationship both musically, and relationally, they pursued a vision to help kids all over the world.
It's true to say Pete McAllen has never been the most placid of performers, but the latest array of gigs has taken things to a whole 'nother level. (My favorite was the geezer who broke onto stage and grabbed Pete's mic to pay his own respects, creating a nice bit of added mayhem). Blood, bruises and of course a trade mark jump off the kick drum has now become normality. 2009 rounded off nicely with a support slot for Bloc Party in London.
Parachute Band is a New Zealand Christian band that uses their music to glorify and worship God. They are known to be humble in person. Among their best albums are Love and Amazing in 2003.
A singer/songwriter from the east coast of Australia, Ben Webb mixes pop sensibilities with a fusion of Jazz, R&B and Reggae. At 25 years old, he has wowed audiences up and down the east coast of Australia with songs from his Debut EP release "sketches, photographs and the occasional song." Involved with music for as long as he can remember, it took two bouts of Bells Palsy (facial paralysis) on each side of his face for Ben to realise that life is what you make of it.
Tim Hughes is a British-based Christian music artist, worship leader, and songwriter. Tim & his wife Rachel have been involved with Soul Survivor events around the world as well as the Soul Survivor Watford church for many years. Tim now heads up the worship at Holy Trinity Brompton, having previously been Worship Pastor at Soul Survivor Watford (a post now held by Ben Cantelon) and is passionate about resourcing musicians and worship leaders.
There is more than one artist with this name. 1) Spectra, pseudonym of Claudio Maioli, is an Italian musician, famous for his song "Ken il guerriero", Italian opening theme for Fist of the North Star. 2) Spectra is an electronic music group from Portugal. Their sound is specific, original and at times experimental and can be described as melodic morning trance.
With climatic melodies, dynamic bass lines and an overriding positive atmosphere Spectra display the talents they posses. They can be described in two words, 'Beyond Belief'.
Hillsong's music has become well-known internationally amongst Christian groups. Songs such as "Power of Your Love" by Geoff Bullock and "Shout to the Lord" by Darlene Zschech have become popular and are sung throughout churches world-wide. Hillsong have released over 40 albums since 1992, many of them achieving gold status in Australia. Although the music is not well known amongst the mainstream, their 2004 live praise and worship album For All You've Done reached #1 in the mainstream Australian album charts (ARIA) when many copies were sold during Hillsong's annual conference.
As Cities Burn was a pop punk (earlier material), post-hardcore (midway) and progressive rock (later) band from Mandeville, LA that formed in 2002. As an unsigned act, the group accomplished impressive success touring and selling thousands of copies of their two EPs. Their success drew the attention of Solid State Records, who signed them in 2004. ACB released its first full length album, Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest, on June 21 of 2005, and was featured in Solid State's Young Bloods Tour with The Chariot, Showbread, and He Is Legend.
