Alexander Tucker

Alexander Tucker is an English musician from Kent who writes, records and performs alone and in collaboration with a varied array of artists. His first musical position was singing in hardcore band Suction in the early 1990s, who according to Tucker "played noisy adolescent punk with leanings towards Swans and Fugazi." His next job was as vocalist of post-rock hardcore 5-piece Unhome who released one album "Short History of Houses" (Unlabel) and a split single with Papa M. Unhome split in late 1999 and Tucker went on to tour the UK with Detroit space-rockers Fuxa, playing synths.

Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Grizzly Bear are a four piece folk band. Grizzly Bear's music is seductive and intimate, deep with hazy-eyed choruses, whistles, piano, banjo, and several woodwind instruments. In their music, melody and ambiance are necessary complements. Grizzly Bear was originally the solo project of Edward Droste (vocals/guitar), who recorded their debut album Horn of Plenty at home.

Ed Askew

Ed Askew, a gay man, cut one of the best and most obscure LPs in the original ESP Disk’s vague rock/folk/freak series, issued eponymously and since reissued as Ask the Unicorn, before apparently dropping off the edge of his world. Years later, thanks to detective work by - naturally - Mr Clint Simonson of the De Stijl Records imprint, it turned out that not only was Askew still breathing but he had actually recorded a follow-up to his ESP Disk in 1970 that had lain in the can for decades.

François Virot

François Virot is a rare bird, who belongs to that endangered kind of musicians that are so devoted to their art that they never care to spend some time at home. You may not know it yet, but in the last few years, this hyperactive musician originating from the city of Lyon (he also plays the drums with his brother Charles in the ballistic noise pop trio Clara Clara) spent more time on the road than your three favorite bands put together… And together with the zillions of Clara Clara records, our boy found the time to fiddle...
