Armitage Shanks

What can you say about Armitage Shanks a band named after a fine bit of porcelain? Well... quite a lot actually.
Formed in Snodland, Kent in early 1991, good mates of Billy Childish they released their first single Do You Want Some Fuckin’ Shirts Off Or What (with Childish on Vocals) in early 1993, they became the support band at Thee Headcoats London shows at the now legendary Wild Western Room in Archway (mainly because Dick drove Thee Headcoats van).

Glow Kit

Garage-pop or punk-powerpop? Glow Kit don’t gamble on horses – the aesthetics here are dirty, catchy and hard-hitting. In a time when the term ‘pop music’ is luckily no longer a curse word among picky music lovers, we need musicians who know how to write a good pop song. No matter what genre or style this melody relates to! In this case, the Aarhus, Denmark duo devise a blend of / / that draws on inspiration from musicians such as The Beat, Black Lips, the late Jay Reatard and others.

Hell Crab City

Sydney, Australia band, Hell Crab City do rough and tumble pub-rock n' roll. Featuring ex-members from The New Christs, Panadolls, WWXXIV, Jim Cobain, and S-Bahn, their debut album "Nicotine Blues" is relentless garage-punk, rocknroll. Loud, dirty and nasty. In 2010 the band released its second album, "Full Bore" on Turkeyneck Records. Miles ahead of their debut in sound and balls out ferocity. Dual guitars blazing over the top of a powerhouse rhythm section.
