Orquestra Imperial

Orquestra Imperial are a Brazilian Big Band formed in 2002 with the objective of becoming a typical Gafieira samba band. The group brought together notable names from the new Carioca pop scene such as Rodrigo Amarante (from the group Los Hermanos),Moreno Veloso, Domenico Lanceloti and Kassin(from the +2 project), Nina Becker, Thalma de Freitas, Max Sette and Rubinho Jacobina with experienced musicians like Nelson Jacobina and the samba percussionist and singer Wilson Das Neves (composer of the Imperio Serrana GRES).

Egberto Gismonti

Egberto Amin Gismonti (born December 5, 1947 in Carmo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a composer, guitarist and pianist. Gismonti began his formal music studies at the age of six on piano. After studying music for 15 years, he went to Paris to study orchestration and analysis with Nadia Boulanger and the composer Jean Barraqué, a disciple of Arnold Schönberg and Anton Webern. After his return to Brazil, Gismonti began to explore other musical genres.

Joyce

Joyce (b. Joycé Silveira Palhano de Jesus, 31 Jan 1948, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), is a singer-songwriter, guitarist & arranger. Since her late-60s premier, she has recorded over twenty solo albums & appeared on many records (e.g. with Elis Regina, Toninho Horta, Vinicius de Moraes & Yoko Kanno). In recent years, she has collaborated extensively with João Donato. Much of Joyce's work has been compared to the early boom of the jazz fusion scene, in the USA.

There are multiple artists that go by the name TOR. (1) Tor was raised in a small mountain town on Canada's west coast where he started experimenting with music production as a teenager. He further honed his skills while living in Australia, running a small recording studio and remixing some prominent Australian producers. He later produced the Sufjan Stevens hip hop mashup album 'Illinoize', which garnered a lot of critical and audience acclaim.

Tetine

Tetine are Bruno Verner and Eliete Mejorado. They met in 1995 in São Paulo, Brazil. Since then they have created a multitude of sound works from tropical punk funk/electro & experimental baile funk driven tunes to atonal orchestral music incursions for plays, soundtracks, performances, art films and installations. Liverpool

Liverpool were a psychedelic rock band from Brazil who released their only album, Por Favor Sucesso, in late 1968. They recorded music for a movie soundtrack and went on to release a 45 with a more latin-rock (aka Santana sound) 45 under the name Liverpool Sound.
