Lynne Hanson

Some call it country, some call it roots-and-blues, and others call it rough-around- the-edges folk. Lynne Hanson calls her music "porch music with a little Texas red dirt."

It’s a sound that’s been receiving applause from enamoured critics and devoted fans in Canada, the US, Europe and Australia, garnering Hanson the 2010 Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award, a 2009 Canadian Folk Music Award nomination, and a place as a finalist in the prestigious 2009 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk competition.

Chris Altmann

Australian songwriter and multi instrumentalist Chris Altmann is touring internationally to celebrate the release of his debut solo album Que Paso. Adelaide born and Melbourne based, Altmann is taking his sound to North America in 2011. Spanish for ‘What Happened’, Que Paso is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the change from the hard rocking style that fans have come to expect from Altmann’s better known group, The Vandas. The sound is influencd by the border town grooves of Doug Sahm and Jerry Jeff Walker, combined with the up tempo country rock beats of Chuck Berry and Levon Helm.

AA Bondy

Coming from Birmingham, Alabama. Ex-Verbena frontman toned down his sound in recent years after Verbena disbanded.
The guitars may be mostly acoustic these days, but the southern drawl and honest lyric and songwriting style still shine through. It seems Bondy has found another perfect style for his raspy voice, the acoustic blues akin to Rolling Stones ballads or Bob Dylan.
He recently married into the Felice family--of Felice Brother's fame--and sometimes tours with The Felice Brothers, performing both as an opening act and as an auxiliary guitar player.

Jason Serious

Jason Serious made his songwriting debut in 2009 with the indie band Flea Market Poets. The album he wrote – Dirty Days – met with critical acclaim, won the Hot Press Single of the Fortnight in Ireland, and spent a good few weeks on rotation on American college radio. After touring the record for over a year in Ireland and Europe, Jason began recording “just for fun” a few of his orphan songs - old time country and folk tunes that didn’t quite fit into the indie rock world.
