Kris Kristofferson
Kris Kristofferson (born June 22, 1936) is an actor as well as one of the most influential singer/songwriters in country music. He is best known for hits like 'Me and Bobby McGee' and 'Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down', and his association with the late Johnny Cash.
Kristofferson's first major hit as a singer was 'Why Me' in 1970. It was awarded 'Country Song of the Year'. Almost everybody seems to have recorded his song 'Help Me Make It Through The Night' and perhaps also his song 'Me and Bobby McGee' but the latter was particularly made famous by Janis Joplin before she died.
The Dream Syndicate
There are two groups known as The Dream Syndicate: 1. The Dream Syndicate was a guitar-driven band from L.A. from 1981 to 1989, originally associated with the paisley underground music movement. While attending the University of California, Davis, Wynn and Smith played together (with future True West members Russ Tolman and Gavin Blair) in The Suspects. Moving back home to Los Angeles, Wynn recorded a single under the name 15 Minutes (as in “of fame”) as his intended farewell to music. He did not follow that course.

Kirsty McGee
http://www.kirstymcgee.com A maker of delicate yet stubborn songs, an instinctive traveller, a human scrapbook. Years spent as a hitchhiker and a period of homelessness have enriched Kirsty McGee’s knowledge of people and places, all whilst keeping her moving. After spending a while building tree houses and bagging-out earth from tunnels at road protest camps Kirsty sold all her possessions and hitched to Cornwall where she lived in a beach hut and developed the writing and vocal styles that have earned her a reputation as one of the most respected songwriters of her generation.
