Wolf & Cub

Wolf & Cub are an alternative rock band from Adelaide, Australia that formed in 2002. Three of the original members hail from Port Augusta, South Australia. Their music is predominantly psychedelic with elements of funk. The four-piece are signed to legendary record label 4AD. An interesting aspect of the band's music and aesthetic is their use of two drummers. This allows the percussive elements of their music to feature more prominently alongside the guitar.

Transatlantic

Transatlantic is a progressive rock supergroup founded in 1999 by Neal Morse of Spock's Beard and Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater and Liquid Tension Experiment. Other members include progressive rock veterans Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings) and Pete Trewavas (Marillion). After releasing two highly acclaimed studio albums and two live recordings they disbanded in 2002 mainly because of Neal Morse's decision to start a Christian rock career.

Bossk

Bossk are a Kent based post-metal band. They released 2 albums (.1 and .2) and a DVD (.3), forming 'The Trilogy', post disbanding in 2008 a split EP was released with Rinoa, containing the new live track "Events Occur In Real Time". In early 2012 they announced they were reforming for a BBC Maida Vale session for Daniel P. Carter's Rock Show which would include new song 'Pick Up Artist', to be released as a free download from the bands website in September 2012.

Collider

There are at least 4 bands who use the name Collider. Collider (2009) is a young San Francisco rock band that recently recorded and released their debut album “Down In Saturines”. Named after large particle accelerators, Collider’s music revels in both the bombastic beauty of energy and more subtle moments of delicacy, like particle patterns moments before collision. The Tangent

The Tangent began in 2002 as a project to record some compositions of the band's primary writer, Andy Tillison, with several members of The Flower Kings (Roine Stolt, Zoltan Csörsz, and Jonas Reingold), David Jackson and some of Andy's friends (Sam Baine, Guy Manning). During that first recording (which was going to become The Music That Died Alone), many of the musicians never met in person. After some critical acclaim, another album was recorded (The World That We Drive Through).

High Tide

There are 2 groups named High Tide. A current Reggae/Rock Group from the USA and the Classic Progressive Rock Group from the UK that was active during the 1970s. High Tide UK Bio:
High Tide, although they never managed much commercial success, are sometimes credited as one of the first heavy metal bands. The sound on their two historical album can be likened to Blue Cheer or Steppenwolf (but with lengthy improvisations in some tracks). They are also cited as a notable precursor of Prog Metal.

Devin Townsend Project

Devin Townsend Project begins where Ziltoid the Omniscient left off, with Devin Townsend at the helm. The project is a planned four-album series. Rather than a specific line-up of musicians, as he utilized in The Devin Townsend Band, and rather than performing the entirety of the music himself, as in Ziltoid the Omniscient, the Devin Townsend Project will feature a number of different musicians for each album.

Fading Hour

Fading Hour is emerging as one of the most promising young bands to hit the Australian music scene. Their sound is dynamic, distinct and lucid, showing influences by everyone from Incubus, Tool, Dredg and Porcupine Tree to likes of Chevelle, Disturbed and The Deftones. Their music is an amalgamation of genres which can best be described as progressive melodic and heavy rock. The Melbourne, Victoria four piece originally formed back in 2005, when guitarist Peter and drummer Shannon teamed up with Michael on vocals and Jono on bass.
