Soft Metals is an electronic duo from Portland, Oregon now residing in Los Angeles, California. Members Ian Hicks and Patricia Hall began writing and recording music together in the spring of 2009. Influence came to them by way of experimental electronic sounds, film soundtracks, early industrial music, minimal synth, house, techno, synth pop, krautrock, psychedelic rock, and shoegaze. Their songs are built from moody, improvised sessions together using exclusively electronic instruments- mostly analog and vintage.

Men Without Hats

Men Without Hats is a Canadian alternative / Synthpop group from Montreal, Quebec, Canada formed in 1977 who were popular in the 80s. They were characterized by the deep, expressive vocals of their lead singer Ivan and their elaborate use of synthesizers and electronic processing. Men Without Hats were always, at the core, Ivan Doroschuk (also released solo as Ivan) and his brother Stefan Doroschuk, with various other members, including a third brother, Colin Doroschuk, as well as Jeremy Arrobas, tracy howe, Roman Martyn and Allan McCarthy.

Emperor Machine was born on last day of the last century spawned from a desirous and dirty relationship between an EMS VCS3 and a Roland System 100. The lust child that was not yet Emperor Machine was abandoned at birth and spent a solitary existence in the backwaters of a County Town, white noise and synthesizers its only source of company until a static storm called James Dyer caused a power surge that ripped apart the confines of its imprisonment and unleashed it through the drainage ducts of the music sewer until it grew and mutated into a beast like entity dribbling with energy.

MORRIS worked as a DJ in a few clubs in Bucharest for 4 years, managing to make many friends among the way. One of this friendships developed into a successful work relationship in 2008, when he joined forces with the extremely talented producers from PLAY & WIN. Play & Win are the three composers born in Alba Iulia, quartered in Constanta that enslaved the European Charts with Inna’s singles “Hot” and “Love”.

Alexander Robotnick

Alexander Robotnick aka Maurizio Dami is an Italian electronic artist and DJ. He made his debut on the Italian music scene as the founding member of Avida, a "dance-cabaret band" featuring Daniele Trambusti and Stefano Fuochi. They released one record, "La Bustina" in 1981. In 1983 Maurizio attained international popularity under the pseudonym "Alexander Robotnick" with the release of "Problèmes D'Amour". The song became something of an underground classic and is cited as an influence by various electronic artists, especially within the electroclash genre.

There are multiple artists under this name: 1) U.K. were a short-lived British progressive rock supergroup active from 1977 through 1980. In September 1976, singer/bassist John Wetton formerly of the British Psychedelic band Family (with Roger Chapman and Rick Grech) and drummer Bill Bruford, both alumni of King Crimson, worked on forming a band with Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman. The project was stopped by Wakeman's label. According to Bruford, "A&M Records were unwilling to let their 'star,' Wakeman, walk off with a used, slightly soiled King Crimson rhythm section, and the idea failed."
