Samuel Foxton Welles

Samuel Foxton Welles is a reclusive artist and musician, and although currently based in Whitby, UK, he has been known to take up residence from time to time in a series of caves somewhere in North Yorkshire. His music is formed from an idiosyncratic mix of styles, occasionally utilising a variety of unusual and makeshift instruments. Through the Leeds based-label Hope House Records the album entitled ‘Pony and Trap’ was released in October 2008 and is presented in a handmade cardboard and felt sleeve, developing the idea of the item being a self-contained piece of artwork.
