Momma's Slippers are a five piece punk/ska band from Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh. Formed in March 06, the band have already released a 7 track demo called "Punk Chaos" and in the summer of 2008 the band released their debut 13 track album "Walking With The Zombies". The band are currently writing their second album. Proud members of the Erne Music Collective! Electro-dance-slide-didg-slide guitar-flute-drums. I just heard these guys live at the Newtown Festival, Sydney, for the first time ever this weekend. They came down from the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane, where the tropical heat has obviously had a good influence on them. Sometimes dreamy and slow, sometimes upfront crowdpleasing pumpers - these guys rock! With four studio albums, OKA shows a wide variety in their music. Absolutely mind blowing. OKA is also a pop group from Finland.

Mondo Rock were an 80s institution in popular Australian rock, a big draw on the live circuit who charted numerous hits. The band was formed in late 1976 by frontman Ross Wilson and went through various line-up changes to start with. They reform from time to time to play (including in April 2007). Dennis Bovell is a legendary reggae guitarist and music producer. He was a member of the British-based reggae band Matumbi and released dub and reggae discs under his own name as well as the pseudonym 'Blackbeard'. Bovell is widely credited as the inventor of lover's rock --- a style of reggae with light, apolitical, romantic lyrical themes marketed towards young women. He is also known for attempting to fuse disco rhythms with reggae, most notably with the hit song "Silly Games" by Janet Kaye.
