Dezerter

Dezerter founded as SS-20 in 1981 in Warsaw is one of most popular punk bands from Poland. They had to change the name to Dezerter because of the reaction of the Communist authority. Dezerter is regarded as one of the most influential bands in Polish rock. With fast guitar riffs and intelligent lyrics written by Grabowski its concerts have drawn thousands of fans and its LPs were very popular, especially in the late 80s and early 90s.

Saccharine Trust

Formed in the early '80s by Joaquin (aka Jack) Brewer and guitarist Joe Baiza, Saccharine Trust metamorphosed from a dissonant, noisy, anti-rock quartet into a more sophisticated, but still jagged and noisy rock-jazz band. Frequently, the band's "songs" were semi- or wholly improvised using a basic riff or simple drum pattern for guidance, rapidy expanding into uncharted territory. Not the most important band to emerge from Los Angeles in the early '80s, Saccharine Trust is interesting for incorporating varied textural elements into a genre that was defined by volume and simplicity.

Heresy

There are at least 3 artists named Heresy 1. Heresy was a fast politically-themed hardcore punk band hailing from a tiny village outside of Stoke-on-Trent, UK. After one Plasmid demo, they joined up with newly recruited bassist Kalv from Nottingham, playing some local shows under their newly chosen, more "metallic " moniker - Heresy. Many of the early shows were booked by local HC promotor , and later Earache founder -Dig.

RDF

Radical Dance Faction (RDF) were founded by Chris Bowsher in Hungerford in 1986, and were originally known as 'Military Surplus'. The band experienced many line up changes with at least seventeen different people having being part of the band at one time or another. Chris is the only person who has been in every line up of the band. RDF's music combines punk, dub, and ska, while Chris' lyrics, spoken rather than sung, deal mainly with political issues, such as the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989 in the song Chinese Poem.
