The Society

The Society is the brainchild of Danish born Thomas Hass Christiensen - composer, arranger and saxophonist and touring member of the globe trotting Senor Coconut ensemble. The Society started to take shape after a chance collaboration with fellow producer Tommy Gee (known for the proto big-beat "Drums of Thunder" on R&S records). The duo focussed their love of all things soulful, be it house, hip hop or jazz to create a truly unique and heartfelt style.

Mario Biondi

Mario Biondi is an Italian singer. Born in Catania, son of a popular song singer, still young sings in various small choruses. Years after he follows Califano, di capri, Bongusto, Fiorello and others in their tours. After a long series of participations with Italian and international artists and a small production of disco music, during 2006 he hits the success with the Schema Records album "Handful of Soul". His deep and warm voice recalls the great interpreters and music.

Tanner Ross

Born and bred in New Jersey, Tanner moved to Boston to study sound synthesis at the esteemed Berklee College of Music in 2005. His experiences at Berklee drove him deeper and deeper into the underground dance music scene.

Floex

Tomáš Dvořák (*78) aka Floex - clarinetist, composer, producer and multimedia artist from Prague (Czech Republic). While Tomáš solo works are released under his Floex moniker, the soundtracks are released under his own name Tomáš Dvořák. From childhood he has been learning clarinet which later becomes the key instrument for his music - not only as "instrumental signature" but also as way of his compositional approach.

Homecut

Homecut Directive, the North of England's best kept Hip-Hop secret, released their debut single "Come The Revolution" (featuring Corinne Bailey-Rae) in March 2004 after five years of gigging, recording, freestyling and generally "putting the hip in Hip-Hop" (North Guide). Over the years this six-man live Hip-Hop crew have developed one of the UK's finest live shows, supporting Black Twang, People Under The Stairs, Fingathing & Ty. With regular shows at The Hifi Club in Leeds & Sheffield's Tuesday Club, Homecut are currently recording new material for release in 2007.

The Ethical Debating Society

"The Ethical Debating Society" began as the psuedonym for Tegan, who began writing anti-love songs on her hooty piano, but quickly blossomed into a full band. With Lauren Darling accompanying Tegan on guitar and vocal duties, and Mr Chris Morris keeping time. The Ethical Debating Society now sound something like Sonic Youth covering Spice World on a found cassette tape.

Dandy Jack

A native of Santiago, Martin Schopf has lived in Germany since the late '80s, taking an active role in the scene and contributing to labels such as Pete Namlook's Fax and Atom Heart's Rather Interesting. Whether as Dandy Jack or in a number of collaborative projects (Ric y Martin, Gonzalo Martinez), Schopf hopes to intensify the link between electronic music and Latin sound. Makoto

There are at least two artist with name Makoto: 1. Based in Tokyo, Makoto Shimizu, better known as simply Makoto, is Japan's chief Drum & Bass ambassador. After completing an Acoustic Engineering major at Nippon University, Makoto first signed with LTJ Bukem's legendary Good Looking Records back in 1999.
Since then he has gone from strength to strength, releasing a long string of quality music in the form of singles and EP's, but also on the famous 'Earth' and 'Progression Sessions' compilation albums.
